Anyone know if the regular season games are televised in Oklahoma City, or are they overriden by the national game of the week?

Otherwise I gotta find a sports bar stat!

The Tulsa stations have the Chiefs and Cowboys during the regular season. I'd bet the OKC stations do too.

The three years that I lived in Norman, the Chiefs games were hit and miss, I'd say they broadcasted about 50% of 'em. Really depended upon who they were playing and who else was playing that day...

I guess I'm screwed, as usual when it comes to preseason games. I guess I just follow the gamethread, listen to the delayed radio broadcast and hope there's something worth watching when the game's aired on Sunday.

Fox 28 & 40 Based in Cedar Rapids Iowa. I got my directv local dish (Skip) installed last year just to pick up FOX in CR because they have shown all the Chiefs pre-season games (That weren't nationally televised) the past 3 years or so.

I've lived here since 2000 so I'm kind of used to it. I guess growing up in NEPA had to help a little too. :deevee:

BTW, if I may ask. Why did you leave?

Do I dare say my cable company does not carry it? Yes, Time Warner Cable still does not the NFL Network in this area. I'd get a dish, but then I'd have all those headaches instead. I manage by listening online to KCFX and watching the computer.

I worked for Pillowtex......Since I worked in the Finance area I saw the writing on the wall and got out before the company went down. There weren't many jobs available int the Charlotte area, so I managed to get one here in Columbia, closer to where i grew up.

I would love to get back to the Carolinas if a good job came open....

Last year CBS in OKC aired all of the Chiefs' games ('cept for maybe one I think). Assuming they do the same this year, you should be able to see most all of the games that CBS carries.

I know you mentioned regular season only but in case you didn't already know, UPN is airing the Vikes game Friday night.

Guys you didnt here me say this, but.....the trick is to find a friend\family that lives in the surrounding KC area. Then when you set up your DishNetwork\DirectTV move there for a day(wink, wink) and set your account up as a no paper\autopay. You need to install the sytem yourself, but now I get the KC locals and all Chiefs games while sitting down in Arkansas. Dish companies dont really care because they still get there money. If you want to hook up a phone line for pay-per-view, be sure to use a call ID block in the line.

I lucked out on this one. They'll be playing the game for the Viqueen fans and I get to hear their idiotic homer announcers, but it's still the Chiefs game nonetheless.

I believe the guy who did the "NOOOOO! NOOOOO! THE VIKINGS ARE OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS!" voice will be doing this one on TV. ROFL

NFL Network has their Huddle thing--they'll cover each game for about 10 mins and show highlights as they come. Next best thing for those of us out of market.

"RPP" is the new (Re-Post Prevention) abbreviated lingo I've adopted. Hopefully it will become official planet jargon someday.
I'll try to come up with a smiley for it also.

Heh, I was getting the Tulsa locals when I was in Seligman, Mo. It won't work much further away though. The locals are on a "spot beam" and most of them aren't any larger than 300 miles across.
