Me? I'm out of the beer.

:cuss:

So's I'm pounding various mixed drink combinations involving Crown Royal, Six Vanilla Vodka, Bacardi Island Breeze, Appleton Estates Jamacan Rum. I'm spinning the wheel of liquid happiness, if you will...

It's been *such* a lovely day, and 20 minutes ago occurred the cherry on top of my crapcake.

Did I mention I hate my ex-wife?

What's up, friends? Please to be telling me your drink of choice on this lovely noche...

I'm supposed to be sober tonight, I have to start driving to St. Louis at about 11:00 tonight with my girlfriend.

But a 6 pack of Boulevard Wheat sounds might tasty right about now...

Maybe I can just convince her to drive the whole way down. I guess I wouldn't need to convince her much if I was just drunk when she came to pick me up.

At some point when I'm good and lit I'll take a stroll up to my favorite local bar and start slamming mini-pitchers of Alaskan Amber.

Picture this: you have an ex-spouse who you were married to for 17 years. Love of your life, known you better than any human being during the course of your life. Marriage sours due to lies and betrayls. You tried to remain friendly even after the divorce. Sometime later, this congenital liar was revealed trying to turn your you against your son and vice versa. Reluctantly, you finally realize--for the sake of your sanity-- hat you have to cut this psycho out of your life.

You haven't seen or heard from this person for over 2 years. Suddenly, without the sightest warning--the doorbell rings. You open the door. Guess who's standing there?

That's what happened to me 'bout two hours ago...

Not really - there's still a lot of domestic drinkers but we've converted a lot of them.

You know you can get just as blasted for roughly the same money if you carefully select a quality brew?In Japan I was all about Sapporro, however now that I'm in Utah all beer off base is 3.2% by state law.

On base however, domestic beer is full strength, and actually requires a sticker on every box that says "Strong Beer" based on Utah state law.

They do sell a select quantity of microbrews in the Class 6 here on base, I'll have a look at them and see if you can give me some reccomendations. I tried St Paulies girl a few weeks ago and it tasted like horse piss.

and, so, what did you do? What did she want, was the visit a good or bad thing? Don't leave me hanging....:deevee:

I'll try to recreate the event. Here we go...

DING DONG!

I open the door. At first, I don't even recognize her.

FC: Yes?...

X: Hi---It's me

[Recognition sinks in]

FC: Uh, hum...

X: (Waving her hand across my face like she's testing me for blindness, while carrying the UGLIEST purse I've ever seen)...John (Our son) has been trying to get ahold of you but you havn't returned his calls. [A lie, btw...I have caller ID and my son hasn't called me in weeks] He wants to talk to you.

FC: Yep. [Loooong pause} Why are you here?

Note: She's actually waiting for me to invite her in. I recognize all the signals.

X: I'm in Tampa doing outprocessing cause I'm shipping out to Iraq tomorrow (She's in the Navy Reserves)

FC: Right. [Another ridiculously long pause] I'll call him.

Another insanely long gap of silence.

X: Well, I guess that's it.

FC: Seems to be...

I close the door. Sometime later I go out to check that she hasn't cut the tires on my truck. They're all good.

A part of me hopes she croaks on her deployment. Lying c*nt...

The only times I can remember actually using chasers was once after a shot of 151. But it was actually the second shot, the first one had no chaser, it also took away a fair portion of my throat. So second was a tad bit more painfull going down

The other time would be after a shot of Everclear. I was alone, otherwise I would have sacked up and showed off for whoever was around.

Otherwise, I don't use chasers. Don't care for them. I'm ashamed I used them the couple of times I did. But I am man enough to admit my moments of weakness before you all.

We use everclear where I work to clean microfilm.
Would never drink it straight! I like to soak orange slices or mixed fruit in it before eating the fruit though.

I've taken it straight on two different occaisions. Not in a big hurry to do so again any time soon - unless I can get the girl who got me started on it to finally do a shot with me....

It should have the beer I've been searching for. Went to Arris Pizza once and someone ordered me a beer they thought I'd like. It tasted almost like apple cider. Cannot remember the name of it for the life of me though.

Funny thing about my beer fridge, too... When I got here, I was sooooo f***ing happy to have a beer fridge that when I met the neighbors, I went on and on and showed off a little bit. They let me carry on for a little while... and then one of them said, "That's really cool. I want to show you something..."

He had completely redone his basement so that it was a sportsbar. Had the bar, two kegs, 2 televisions... Patriots crap all over the place...

Suddenly, my cool ass beer fridge became "that stupid fridge in the garage..." I still hear about that from time to time...

Yeah but their bar is surrounded by Patriots crap. And your fridge stores your favorite beer and keeps it cool. Just think of those who don't even have a beer designated for only beer and the like.

I was dating this girl when I was in high school who had one of those very stern, very protective fathers. She and I had been together for two years, so I was kinda sorta in the "circle of trust"...

Anyway, the two of them are sitting there on the couch one day, I'm over on the loveseat, and there's some craptacular show on television that features a father/daughter moment where, when talking about sex, the father says, "I just want you to know that you can always be honest with me." As soon as those words came out of the speakers, my girlfriend looks over at her dad and say, "Daddy, do you want me to be honest with you?" I'm ready to have a f***ing heart attack, knowing that I'm about to meet my maker.

Her dad didn't bat an eyelash, nor did he so much as glance away from the TV, when he said, simply, "You'd better lie."

Same girl that I went over to her house one day while her dad and step-mom were at work and we, uh, might have had a little hanky-panky. Anyway, before I leave her house, she says that she wants to call her dad's office, to make sure he's not on the way home so he won't see me walking in the vicinity and get suspicious. She calls and finds out that Dad's on the way home. Now she's freaked, I'm half dressed, and she's pushing me out the door. As I'm about to go out the door, I joke, "you sure you don't want to look out the window and make sure he's not there?"

Sure as shit, he's parked the car and is on his way in.

I literally had a "grab your shoes, no time to button your shirt, dive off the balcony" moment...

Hell if I know. I'm hopeless when it comes to pop culture. I don't watch TV until my son goes to bed at 8:30 and, even then, I just tune in to ESPN or NFL Network. The last movie I saw in a theater (that wasn't a cartoon movie for my son) was Lord of the Rings... the first one. I'm convinced that country music is overrun by boy bands, rock music is overrun by "singers that are mad at their dads," and rap music is overrun by foul mouthed monotone wannabes to the point that don't listen to much radio.

I'm good with Walken, but you're out. Due to my directorial vision and the need to change things because of poetic license, the female leads will be extended to fraternal triplets (played by Katie Holmes, Natalie Portman, and Keira Knightly). The male lead story has been replaced to a coming of age story about a lesbian foursome, involving the three sisters and a fourth girl (to be played by Kirsten Dunst).

Oh, I know what she's doing. And why is that so impressive? No man has the girth of a fist. Good God!
I beg to differ. If I close my fist, I have the girth of my fist.

What I would think would be impressive, in a man's eyes, would be if she could stick her hand down her throat without gagging.

I would go into further detail, but...uhhhh...nah.

I was wrong. Watching a huge dude act like he was gay and go hit on some random dude at the bar had me doubled over.

Buddy of mine did that in every strip club he ever went to. The chick would say, "Will you buy me a drink?" and he'd answer, "Sure, but you have to drink what I'm drinking." She'd ask, "Okay, what's that?" and he'd reply, "Tequila... no salt, no lemon, no lime, no chaser."
Didn't spend much time in Mexican border towns, did he?

Let's see what I can remember from last night...

Pete's Wicked Rally Cap Ale (1)
7-n-7 (1)
Miller Lite (1)
Dos Equis (um... let's see... 7?)
a return to Miller Lite (1)
Sam Adams Summer Ale (uh... maybe 3?)
Vodka Tonic (I have no clue how many)
Rumpleminze (I'm pretty sure just one shot)

That might cover it. Things get kinda blurry towards the end.

You called me out one time when I remembered what I had drank one evening. I do not recall exactly what you said, but you did spout off something. Now I see you doing it, if only I could remember what you said I'd throw it right back at ya'.....

Hey, I didn't wake up in a running car this morning.

There is some broken skin on my right hand, though. Apparently I decided to punch some stuff last night... which is, y'know, real smart when there's a bone in there still healing from the last time I did that.

On the plus side, I called a girl at 2:30 in the morning and I seem to recall her being happy about it. I think I may have made plans for tonight... I'm not sure. Hopefully nothing that conflicts with the football game.

Well, I don't remember exactly. Any number over 1 is a guess.

Every drink change corresponds to a scenery change.

Pete's Wicked Rally Cap Ale (1) - with my steak dinner
7-n-7 (1) - mixed at my house, wandered to the neighbor's with it to start the evening
Miller Lite (1) - off the neighbor's kegerator... for the walk to the bar
Dos Equis (um... let's see... 7?) - at Dos Gringos. Our triumphant return. Hadn't been in there since the first weekend in April when my neighbor wrestled a bouncer to the ground.
a return to Miller Lite (1) - Acme Bar & Grill
Sam Adams Summer Ale (uh... maybe 3?) - Mickey's Hangover (everything Sam Adams is $2/pint there all August!)
Vodka Tonic (I have no clue how many) - My favorite local bar, Giligin's. I'm pretty sure I had a vodka tonic right when I walked in. I have no idea what I drank after that. More vodka tonics? Beer? Wait... I do remember a pint of Guinness at some point now.
Rumpleminze (I'm pretty sure just one shot) - also at Giligin's. I remember a buddy buying it for me... and it really hitting the spot. I remember talking to a girl in a red cowboy hat... somehow, the Rumpleminze didn't cause me to f*ck her.

Substitute a different drink (I don't care for peppermint anything), and that scenario sounds good to me. That reminds me. Dad is up in KC. He's got the hot tub fired back up. I may go relax for awhile. It's a beautiful night out.

I have not yet winterized the hot tub.

i.e: I have not removed the lid and cleaned out the gunk that accumulates during the summer.

Once I do that, Mrs. Gaz and I will once again be horrifying the neighbors.

I'm not a 2nd shifter. I'm self-supervised, and can usually work any time of day I want. I happened to procrastinate a bit early yesterday and didn't get into the "office" until about 2:30 in the afternoon. So instead of working, say, from 10 am until 7 pm, I worked from 2:30 until 11:30, nobody's fault but mine. Hoping not to repeat my mistake tomorrow...

Yeah I gotta get my tub up to snuff as well as winterize the pool. My back pain has been minimal so I've kinda let the tub go of late. It all get's done this next week as I will be motivated from a big Chiefs win. Now scooping the dog pen should get done too but that's the one job that's not hard to put off.
