... has more of a deep-seeded love affair with under-achieving players, probably to the point of sometimes hurting his team?

We all know Dick falls in love way too easy... but is Parcells even worse?

Somebody else perhaps?

Should have included Greg Robinson on DV's list but wasn't thinking coaches.....

I don't think we're in any position to criticize Bill Parcells.

Parcell's misguided man-love is not ****ing up my favorite team.

I'd say Vermeil wins this contest hands down. Ironic that this thread coincides with Lawrence Phillips being arrested and charged w/ attempted murder.

I'd have to look this up to be sure, but hasn't Parcells taken 31 different teams to the Super Bowl?

I think the guys you've listed as Parcells "underachievers" destroy your thread entirely.

Bledsoe and Testaverde have almost 500 combined touchdown passes.

Meshawn has almost 9,000 career receiving yards.

Great, he did well for a quarter in a preseason game. I've seen the guy single blocked by TE's way too often for me to change my mind about him.

Meshawn never could.... at least not nearly as well as he tells everyone.

That, and I'm pretty sure he invented the football.

Though, to be fair, I hear Parcells never would have invented the football if it weren't for the fact that Belichick was making pork rinds.
