Aaron Elling and Paul Edinger both with the Vikes and Tice has said he is not keeping two kickers this year.

What DTLB58 said...

Otherwise, the only other option is Steve Christie. A solid kicker still, but after doing some research, Christie really struggles on kickoffs...Like Mort (Who is also an option.

Jose Cortez, once Cundiff is healthy again in Dallas.

Todd France and Matt Bryant as both supposedly having very good camps with the Bucs. One of these guys will be available next week. I think one of these two could be very likely to see a Chiefs uniform soon.

After seeing these choices I must say that I don't feel much better. Edinger is the one that stands funky, right? Cortez I thought sucked when he played for the 49'ers, has he improved. I have no idea who the other guys mentioned are. Hopefully Tynes will pull his head out of his arse and start kicking well and stop throwing punches.

I am not ready to throw Tynes on the sword just yet. He has new holder and it is still early on in the preseason.

He can do it.

Yeah, a lot.

He also looked really good on MNF last night.

What I don't understand is why we didn't jump on Edinger when he became available. Wby do we go the easy route and keep the trash we have and pass on any good kicker that becomes available?

I want Edinger. Kicking right off the Lake has to be hard, he has game experience.

I have often wondered how you could capitalize on that goofy stance. Maybe have him put the ball under his jersy and run around the end on a fake field goal? :hmmm:

Edinger would be fine by me. Cortez competed with Morten Andersen a couple of TC's ago. They liked Cortez because he could kickoff really well.
