It makes me wonder if Collins' injury isn't more serious than we think. I hate to say it but they're playing Quinn like they plan on keeping him.

To be fair here, Quinn has only been in camp for 4 days. 6 for 12 with his timing off isn't bad. Much better than Huard last week.

IMHO, I think he gets the # 3 spot while Killian goes PS, Huard gets cut.

On the radio webcast. He didn't say Scanlon was going to get cut or anything but one of the first questions Mitch asked was about cuts and how LB would be a tough call. Carl went on to say how they've got quality depth... Bell, Mitchell, DJ, Fox, Boomer, Fujita, etc... gonna be some tough decisions. Then Scanlon made the tackle and Mitch said "there's Rich Scanlon, who was very good over in Europe, he's in the mix too." Carl said "Yeah... the question becomes just how many guys do we want to keep?"

That's paraphrased a bit but that was mainly it. Just the tone of his voice, he seemed pleased with Scanlon but made it sound like he was gonna be in the numbers crunch. We'll see.

I don't care if he was just signed today.

He's been in the league for 8 years and he has sucked for 8 years.

Like playing time for this turd is going to make any damn difference.

If he has to play the regular season, you can kiss the season goodbye and start dreaming about next years high draft pick.

So let me get this straight. You would have rather played Killian over Quinn, even though the season can be kissed goodbye if EITHER of them have to play in the regular season?

So what would have been the advantage of playing Killian?

ROYC75
08-27-2005, 09:47 PM
Quinn with the regular starters will be much better than Huard. As for Killian, he is a rookie that has alot to learn.........

Give Quinn some more reps with the starters, he will be better than Killian as the # 3.

Absolutley. And how anyone can argue this is beyond me.

I liked what I saw of Killian and I'd love to keep him around for development. But he has no place on the 53-man roster this year. Quinn is a solid #3 QB and will probably have to serve as the #2 QB at season's start.

Have you ever actually watched Quinn play in the regular season?

He is a terrible QB, period.

Huard is equally as bad.

Niether of these guys has any business being in the NFL.

In the end, I don't care if Killian is placed on the PS, as long as we don't lose him.

But I want to see this kid play in the preseason.

I agree COMPLETELY that Quinn is horrible. But who would you put as the #2 QB in his place if Collins and Huard are still injured?

Quinn is a shitty hand, but he's the only one the Chiefs have to play. They may as well try to get him ready.

I'm not suggesting that there's anyone else.

All I'm saying is that you could have Quinn play every down left in the preseason, take every snap in practice, and do whatever else you can to get him ready to play in the regular season as the 2nd QB.

None of it will matter.
He's not going to suck any less because of it.

So why not give Killian a few of those snaps, and see if the kid has anything.

When Todd gets healthy, if Killian has any potential, then why even waste a roster spot on career NFL scrubs who should be wearing paper hats taking your burger order.
