Seems like he may suffer a little poetic justice after all.....

Right now the only people Rashard can beat are off-duty cops with their backs turned to him.

Paterno deserves this... His high standards only are of concern to his won-loss record...
You know whats still funny about this whole thing? People around here still think that Peter Warrick should be in jail for what he did and those Wisconsin players should all be kicked off of the team. And don't give me the innocent until proven guilty crap. His pant legs and shoes had blood all over them. It's more obvious than when O.J. killed those two people.

What is truly sad is that Romo caught more hell for supposedly using a racial slur than Casey did for supposedly beating a white cop into unconsciousness for being with a black girl.

Ironic note: The cop works in the racial relations department of his police force.

Ok, I guess I've been spending too much time on this board. I'm not familiar with the story. Anybody got a URL?

Russ- and some cracks are showing too. Thought you might get a kick out of this...

Johnson blasts, blames Penn State system
With Penn State off to an 0-2 start for the first time in 10 years, the blame game has begun. Tailback Larry Johnson blamed the ineffectiveness of the offense on the staff, which includes his father, Larry Sr., as defensive line coach. "It's the system, entirely the system," the younger Johnson said in the Chicgao Tribune. "We've got coaches who've been here for 20 or 30 years. It seems like things never change. We run the same offense and teams that played us know what we're going to run. They can pull out tapes from back in '92, '93. We run the same offense. It's the same plays, same system. Guys (on the opposing team) kind of guess on that and they end up guessing right."
Maybe not after unconsiousness. I must have Rashard confused with another troubled football player.

DJay - According to witnesses even AFTER unconsciouness. He had a high school friend help jump him from behind after the cop left the bar they were both at. In the bar Casey reportedly asked the black girl with the cop, "What are you doing with him, you belong with your own kind."

USC's win over a sorry Penn State squad in the Kickoff Classic turned some heads and UCLA's victory over No. 3 Alabama was impressive, but we won't believe the Pac-10 is legit until this Saturday. Call it the conference's day of reckoning as No. 15 Washington hosts No. 4 Miami, Oregon travels to No. 5 Wisconsin, No. 11 USC hosts Colorado, and No. 18 Ohio State visits Arizona. Privately, some Pac-10 coaches are calling them must games.

"We do play big-time football in the Pac-10," says one Pac-10 coach. "But we have to show kids -- the ones who play for us and the ones who we're trying to recruit -- that we can beat schools from the 'power conferences.' "

I stand corrected on the Wash/Mia game. I was wrong about the Canes and they are getting it taken to them.

SEATTLE (AP) -- Some of the Miami players mocked Washington before Saturday's game by barking like dogs. The Huskies had the last bark.

"They were yelping a bit in the tunnel," Washington tight end Jerramy Stevens said. "They found out who the real dogs were."

Marques Tuiasosopo passed for a touchdown and ran for another, and freshman Rich Alexis scored on a 50-yard run as No. 15 Washington beat No. 4 Miami 34-29.

The Huskies spoiled Miami's first trip to Husky Stadium. In the schools' first meeting in 1994 at the Orange Bowl, Washington ended the Hurricanes' NCAA record 58-game home winning streak.
