Well, I guess it's time for me to buy that Boomer jersey! :)

51 is a great number for a LB. Always reminds me of Butkus. Maybe, in time, the kid will too.

For now I'd be happy with Greg Manusky.

I want Samie Parker to get an 80s number.

Hell, switch with Horn, he's going to be on and off the roster all year anyway.

Can't give him 80 we might be holding that for fredex. lol

Seems like a few guys around the league are keeping numbers in the teens since it is allowed now.

Yeah, it really doesn't bother me that much. I'm just not that used to it, yet.

I wonder if Boomer managed to hold on to #95 long enough to make Long pay him something for it. Of course, with two mid- to low-round rookies, it probably would've been a case of beer or something.

I heard Khari traded him a bedpan for it.

The only # that irks me is Waters with 54. That's a LB number.

Also Jared Allen with 69. Not a DL number

What about Kendrell Bell? #99? That looks odd to me.

I can't stand WR numbers in the teens, either. I think Parker would look good as an 82.

That's stupid. We have neither an 80 nor an 84. Parker should switch to one of those.

Looks like im in the minority. I like Parker's #18

I think they're going to keep #80 unused for when they induct Johnnie Morton into the Ring of Fame along with Jack Steadman.

I agree. I guess I am old fashioned but 18 just doesn't look right. Receivers that wear non 80's numbers look like scrubs that are about to be cut in the preseason. It will take some time to get used to WRs wearing teen numbers.

While we're at it, Kendall Gammon needs to give up #83 and go with the Ted Popson-esque #48.

ROFL Manusky was one of the best ST aces. If I remember correctly he grabbed some guy by the balls in the middle of the pile to make him let go of the ball during a fumble recovery on special teams. :p
