Six-Time Pro Bowl TE Tony Gonzalez Keeps Going Strong

TE Tony Gonzalez is already the all-time leading receiver in Chiefs history with 570 career catches and needs just 402 more yards to bypass WR Otis Taylor (7,306) for the most receiving yards in franchise history. He has caught a pass in 68 consecutive games and should he catch a pass in all 16 games in 2005, would bypass WR Stephone Paige (83) for the longest string in KC history. He also needs just nine TDs to surpass Shannon Sharpe (62) for the most TD catches by a TE in NFL history and four more TDs to overtake WR Otis Taylor (57) for the most TDs in KC annals. Hereís a look at Gonzalezís place in NFL history among TEs.

Three years at his current pace and Tony will hold all the TE records in the NFL.

Very doable.

Would like to see him pass Sharpe this year preferably against Dungver there.

And he's not even 30 yet, right?

That would be 3 per game to open the season. That would be rockin the house.

Breaking Sharpe's TD record at Denver would be the bomb. As far as the other records if he stays healthy for 4 more years he should be a lock to break them.

I was miffed last year when Gates broke the single season TD record for TEs with 13. Gonzo was on pace to do that bach when #18 was the QB with somthing 10 TDs with 2 games to go. I'd like to see Tony break that record with 14 this year.

Now that is highly possible.
