View Full Version : Another fine FEMA moment

Add geography to the growing list of FEMA fumbles.
A South Carolina health official said his colleagues scrambled Tuesday when FEMA gave only a half-hour notice to prepare for the arrival of a plane carrying as many as 180 evacuees to Charleston.
But the plane, instead, landed in Charleston, West Virginia, 400 miles away.

Yeah, someone should be canned just for that...even if you disregard the other 100283298 things theyve screwed up in this thing.

That is simply unbelievable.

well, it's an "honest" mistake... :(

NO, NO, Bush said he was going to do the Charleston, not send them to Charleston.

The mix-up was the second time in six hours that FEMA had mistakenly told South Carolina to prepare for sick evacuees who never arrived.

FWIW, it could have been an African International pilot that has a routine dogcrap run from Narobi to Johannesburg on a daily basis.
Does anyone know who the carrier was?

I'm beginning to think Karl Rove is frantically mining/searching for mistakes (and then getting them released to the press) to pin on FEMA so they can hang Brown as the fall guy. Might as well get as much junk out there as possible so you can look like you did something right in FIRING the guy...
takes the heat off of the hiring of him in the first place. :hmmm: :D

Wow. Cleared flight planes and coordination anyone?
