Some things that excite me:

Curtis Martin didn't run through the middle for a 60 yard TD on a 3rd and 8. How many times have we seen that in the last three years?

Receivers who caught the ball and were immediately hit and put on the ground. It looked like they eventually got tired of the 'hitting' part of the deal.

I didn't hear the announcer say "here comes xxxx moving up to the line, it looks like he is going to blitz"

Not much in the way of penalties.

Defense appeared to hit and wrap up the ball carriers rather than slap at them as they hit the line.

Good adjustments. I didn't see the Defense give up yards to the same offensive play more than once.

The Defense was clearly dictating to the Jets offense the tempo and what they could and could not do.

The Corners looked weak w/o Surtain, but stopping the run and putting the QB on the ground every play will help take the pressure of the CBs.

Switching between 4-3 and 3-4. Shows great flexibility.

All the free agents appeared to deliver as advertised. Bell will get more involved as opponents decide that "testing the rookie" isn't such a great idea.
