For the people who think that staying on the 'Bush is teh debbil' track is the path to relevancy for the DNC, track Ms. Brazile if she follows through.

I know, maybe better than anyone, that there are times when it seems that our nation is too divided ever to heal. There are times when we feel so different from each other that we can hardly believe that we are all part of the same family. But we are one nation. We are a family. And this is what we do. When the president asked us to pitch in Thursday night, he wasn't really asking us to do anything spectacular. He was asking us to be Americans, and to do what Americans always do.

Not quite da debil, but one of the most worthless, and costly Presidents in American history.

Not sure what any of that has to do with being doing our part to help this country. Objecting to Bush is not == to being for a divided nation.

Just cause Baby Lee liked the message of Donna Brazile doesn't make the criticism of every action of Bush's prior to Thursday night or after, incorrect.

I hope not...

I can't speak for others, but I haven't been around much lately because of personal stuff going on in real life. A friend of ours died suddenly and tragically a few days ago. Left five kids, a wife, and apparently some intense financial hardships behind...

it's been a real priority and gut check since then. All of a sudden flaunting the increasing multitude of DUHbya's failures in the faces of his lambs didn't seem as important or as much fun. Any of us could be gone tomorrow and the day before we could have spent wasted here basically :banghead: . Thus, I've been busy doing things that would not make me sick to my stomach regretting my last day if it was me suddenly gone.

Ironic, coming from a kool-aid swilling member of the "the democrats is teh debil" faction.

Bush was a terrible mistake and it will take us years to dig out from the mess he leaves behind. That has nothing to do with Katrina, but Katrina's wake gave a lot of people an opening to vent that sentiment.

Please.....I'd venture to say there's people out there that order a dominos pizza, and when it takes longer than 30 minutes to deliver they blame Bush.

Katrina was just a handy way to tie a tragedy and Bush bashing together. Im not the only one who noticed that the death toll estimates, and time NOLA was expected to be closed were both way off was I?

Sad, but this is pretty much what I think everytime I post here......

Of course I bury that in my head and go ahead and post something to make myself look like an idiot. ROFL

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/09/16/AR2005091602167_pf.html ms. donna has been saying some pretty reasonalbe things on interviews lately...

she did a good job with the gore campaign...

gore was so awful that she practically pulled off a miracle by keeping it close...

personally, i'd rather see donna brazile run for president than hillary...

For me it's the football season. I avoid this place during the season on purpose. I think others do as well. I don't subscribe to the view that the cons have fled this place entirely based on the fact that they realize how big a mistake it was to put Bush in charge.

I think it has as much to do with football season being upon us.

United we stand! ;)

taking d.c. out of the subforums has pretty much killed this place, or at least put some of the final nails in the coffin...I have seen the way BB's work John, this is certainly no suprise. DC doing as well as it did as a sub-forum was a suprise but seeing that link to the last poster and the thread changing was IMO the key to that suprise. That is gone now.

It will be back in the off season. I'm cool with that.

It's only right that this board is slow during the season.

Probably too late at that point. This idea that politics were never discussed in season is absolutely false.when i first came to chiefs planet, one of the things that was so engaging about this place was that not only could you discuss things other than football, other people would join in those discussions...

rational people like siberian khatru, headsnap and dozens of others who pretty much never posted in this ghetto of diehards (whose numbers are now dwindling), used to join in those discussions and we had some excellent conversations that were as informative as entertaining...

now, it seems like any discussion of government policies, religion, or any number of non-football but serious discussions get shipped to the ghetto...

we used to have serious discussions with lots of informed and in many cases expert opinions on a wide variety of serious nft's...

ahhhh, those were the days...

but since the ghetto was formed it pretty much mirrored the pita electioneering threads, with their constant bickering and hostility...

now that we've been segregated for awhile, we have been (temporarily i suspect) made practically invisible too... :( :( :(

ohhhh, it's going to be an agonizing, slow death here in the ghetto...

i can barely bear it... :deevee: :deevee: :deevee:
