Shanahan fined $20,000 for outburst
Associated Press
September 24, 2005
The NFL fined Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan $20,000 on Friday for his criticism of the call that reversed Darrent Williams' punt return for a touchdown last week against San Diego.
Officials called Denver for too many men on the field toward the end of Williams' 61-yard punt return last Sunday after a few Broncos ran off the sideline to prepare for the extra point. None of the Broncos who ran onto the field was within 15 yards of the play.
"It was a horrible call. Horrible call," Shanahan said Monday. "You wouldn't see a lot of calls like that in high school."
On Friday, Shanahan acknowledged he had been fined for the first time in his career.

Oh, that is rich ROFL .
How many millions of dollars have the Donks been fined over the years for salary cap violations?
How many 3rd round draft choices have been strippped?
Cooking spray anyone?
How many careers have been ended by cheap shots?
Oh yeah, up till this very moment, Shanahan has been pristine. Let's have a moment of silence for the fallen virgin. :Lin:

Thank God he is not the coach of the Chiefs. After this year he will be coaching high school somewhere in N.O.

It was also the right call. When half of your bench is out on the field while your return man hasn't even crossed the goal line, that's the right call to make.
I've seen a many angles of Dante's kick returns and I have yet to find a player out on the field. They run up and down the sidelines but they don't come out on the field. Then again, this doesn't happen much in Denver, unless it's the other team returning the ball that is, so I can understand their inability to contain their excitement. :D

Is this communist China? This is blatant censorship and I don't care if it happened to The Rat, this is just wrong.

When Bronco fans splooge in their pants over Kevin Kasper, you know your return game lacks something.
