Akers will not be able to go next week. They will sign someone of the heap tomorrow I am sure.

Hmm...interesting. That's the same injury Matt Birk has for the Vikings - he's had 4 surgeries for it, I believe, and is out this entire season...

The Iggles signed another K this week (Todd France I think) but put him on the practice squad because they thought Akers would be OK, We'll see him next week instead.

McNabb is definitely limited in his mobility and even in having the ability to step into the pass, today. In Arrowhead, I like the chances for our defense having a big day.

(I think they said )Brian Baldinger's career ended with the same injury.

Isn't that the same thing Kendrell Bell was out last year for? They re not good, I know that. Not your standard hernia.

Hopefully Derrick Johnson will be telling him to turn his head and cough.

They beat the Randers even with his injury.

yep, I'm sure Todd France will be activated for our game. They already signed him like someone above mentioned, just didn't activate him for this week's game. If that decision would have cost the Iggles the game, I woulda been pi$$ed!

They will not use Simaneou again :(

Doubtful he'll miss time unless he gets worse. They'll just limit his reps in practice.

I have to believe that the Chiefs will have a definite advantage next weekend with McNabb & Akers both ailing.

Well, that changes things. If healthy I think the Eagles would have beaten us handily but they looked awful today. McNabb was waaaaaaaaay off. Looks like we may have lady luck this year.

Both teams healthy, I don't think that's necessarily true, Ye of little faith. NOw both teams are banged up.

I hope the team isn't looking past tonight's game like some of you are.

I'd just as soon get the Eagles full strength. I don't want any flukes or gimmes. If we really are going to be a top team in the league, we need to be able to go out and beat the best, or learn from losing to them.

This thread is not about "looking past tonight's game." It's about a piece of news that happened to come out yesterday that's important to the Chiefs.

Nonsense. Injuries are part of the game. We've had our own injuries(and suspensions) to deal with. If the Iggles were full strength it wouldn't be even anyway because we have some injuries(and suspensions)to important players.

BTW, isn't Todd France a kicker we were looking at a few weeks ago?
