View Full Version : KC has a lot to prove, but keep things in perceptive no matter who wins tonight!

If we win tonight we will get even more respect from the media! If we lose, we'll be just the 2-1 Chiefs fighting it out w/ the rest of the league to make the playoffs.

Losing on the road against a divisional rival is a lot easier for me to swallow than losing at home. Also with key injuries to Roaf, Sims, Carlos Hall, those players who are not playing 100%, as well as the suspended players, Welbourn and Warfield, Denver will be playing an even better team the next time they play the Chiefs. So if it is a close game then that will give me confidence for our prospects for the rest of the year.

As I have said before the season started, the most important objective is not only make the playoffs, but start to peak as we go into the postseason; have all our players healthy and have them experience a long hard regular season where there are lows and highs. This collective experience will strengthen the players' resolve and confidence to win throughout the playoffs!

Hopefully the above comments will help those fans that are ready to pounce on the Chiefs if do not manage to win tonight. Yes it would be great to win tonight, but a loss may help us to our ultimate goal.

The guy who vowed not to watch this team in the middle os the season last ear lectures on keeping things perspective. Aside from that I can still feel good about this team if they were to lose to Denver. It does matter how a team loses though. I can live with a hard fought loss.

I still think we win. And winning would do much better things for our ultimate goal.

What is with the Rodney Dangerfield impersonations?
We don't get no respect?
Win games and earn it.......until then quit whining. The Chiefs look like fools whining after the Sharpe broadcast against the Raiders. Quit whining about respect:banghead:

Every thread he starts, without fail, is an instant classic.

Seriously, if you guys want some "perceptive" (ROFL), do a search on his username...

I have no interest in losing this game. I want the Chiefs to beat the Broncos within an inch of their life, and then beat them some more. I want the Broncos to be on life support, and then have the Chiefs pull the plug. Then I want the Chiefs to get a big check because they bought a life insurance policy on the Broncos before the game. Then I want the Chiefs to go tip over the Broncos' tombstone. Then I want the Chiefs to hire a medium, have a seance, and compel the Broncos' ghost to appear, and then beat up the ghost using whatever methods work for beating up a ghost.

A big difference in the division based on our win/loss.

if we win

AFC
West W L T .Pct Streak
Chiefs 3 0 0 1.000 Won 3
Bronco 1 2 0 .333 Loss 1
Charger 1 2 0 .333 Won 1
Raiders 0 3 0 .000 Loss 3

or if we lose

AFC
West W L T .Pct Streak
Chiefs 2 1 0 .667 Loss 1
Bronco 2 1 0 .667 Won 2
Charger 1 2 0 .333 Won 1
Raiders 0 3 0 .000 Loss 3

I said last week, I think this game is a "must-win" game.

Alot of people disagreed then, but I'm a firm believer that there's no subsitute for momentum. Win this game and we could be in the driver's seat for the rest of the year.

For where we want to go, we SHOULD win this game. Unless Denver is just a whole lot better than I think.

Attention Chief fans we are going to lose during the regular season.

Losing at Denver is not a stretch!

Losing in Denver does not mean our season is lost!

Losing in the playoffs? Now that's a problem!

I hope we win tonight, but if we don't it's not the end of the world.

Great stuff AGAIN, but you forgot the part about the Chiefs standing in the old Tombstone Huddle (with Trent out of the way) urinating on the Donk tombstone after they tip it over.

And don't forget the part about Gunther chasing down the Rat and spanking him.

63,
Chiefs are a small market team from a media perspective and will never be a favorite unless we acquire a controversial player ala Owens or Moss. I felt even with Montana we never got covered enough.

Not too many folks remember but when the Chiefs won the '70' superbowl we lost 2wice to the Raiders in regular season play if I recall and finally beat them in the playoffs 17-7. However the game and type of character of player was much different 36 years ago.

This game if a close loss for the Chiefs says alot about the Broncs at home and overall play(they suck and are in trouble which I believe that now}. If the Chiefs get their arses handed to them(which won't happen) then so be it and the AFC West is a fraud this year.

I don't worry so much about a rival loss at this stage of the season than I do getting my team physically healthy for the playoffs. If this were the 3rd or 4th week in December then I would be worrying.

Two division wins on the road. A big leg up on AFCW.

Need to beat Dungver while they aren't playing well.

Yep. This is our best chance in 5 years to steal one at Pile High. A championship team siezes it's opportunities.

Like I said we are going to lose in the regular season

Losing in Denver is not a Stretch!!!!!!!!

Denver is not a bad team neither are we!

We have 13 games left after this one!

It is very tough to win on the road!

Every team has an off game.

It looks like tonight is one of those off games for us.

Sorry to hit a nerve.
