These are lifted from this week's Chiefs press release.

Surprising fact #1:
Jerome Woods needs 12 more tackles to pass Derrick Thomas in all-time tackles. Thomas is currently ranked 6th and Jerome is 7th
Surprising fact #2:
Dante Hall ranks 10th all-time in the NFL in total kickoff return yards.
Surprising fact #3:
Trent Green has 36 regular-season wins as a Chief, which is a distant second among quarterbacks to Len Dawson (94). However, Trent is first in franchise history in 300-yard games (20) and in 20+ yard completions (213).
Surprising fact #4 (maybe this isn't so surprising, but it's cool):
With 20 more touches, Priest Holmes will pass Ed Podolak as the all-time Chiefs leader in touches from scrimmage.
And surprising fact #5 (this will blow you away):
The active NFL player (non-kicker) with the most consecutive games played is...
Kendall Gammon, who has played in 210 straight games dating back to 1992.
I had heard the Gammon stat before. Always nice to know those snaps are going to be good.

The Hall stat is actually pretty wild until you stop to realize he gets a lot of return opportunities because our defense has sucked so bad.

I just never would've guessed that he was that high. I still think of him as a young player.

True, but to be that high in just over four years in the NFL? Impressive.

Too bad Woods hasnt made a tackle in about 5 years. He would have passed Thomas alot sooner.

Gammon is awesome. Seriously, it's so underappreciated that we never have to worry about a bad/low/high snap on a punt, field goal or PAT. Yes, he's just doing his job, but he's doing it well.
(BTW, I've been knocking on wood while typing this with one hand)

here is another,
LaDanian Tomlinson has thrown for more TDs than Trent Green this year, I hope that changes tonight because I have both of them on my fantasy team

Also, Gammons is a local product. Pittsburg, Kansas.

He can also balance a football on his nose.

He can juggle, too.

Definitely. He wasn't much but a target for complaints for his first two seasons.
Though given the nature of the return game and roster limits, Bob Dole would guess that the career of a player who is primarily a return specialist is generally fairly short.

Here's a factoid for ya:
Priest Holmes is the only non-Bronco RB to rush for over 100 yards in a single game at the new Invesco.

Woods had a great special teams tackle last week. Saved 6 points, too.

Give LJ 15 carries and we'll double that number.

The first thing I thought when I posted it was "And Larry Johnson is about to become the 2nd"...
