Where you staying? Happy hour at Tom Fooleries? Starts around 1 or 2 IIRC. 39th and Genessee is the best area in town IMO. Nice privately owned shops, restaurants, bars. Good pedestrian traffic.

Staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Independence. Just down the road from Arrowhead and the road back to the Airport on Sunday.

Go to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. It's one of the best in the world. Given your talent for drawing, I bet you'd enjoy the Japanese and Chinese art there.

It's just east of the Plaza.
