8:15 pm ........BRC go get the band to play some Blues Traveler. Look at the size of that lead singer he needs to be singing Blues Traveler. I need to hear some Blues Traveler. Go tell them to play Blues Traveler.............8:30 pm zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

But my wife did make him blush on Friday night. I'd never thought that was possible to do.

Bullshit.

He was out in a recliner before 2pm.

I can vouch for that, however,in his defense when Jamie finally got him up at 10:30 by opening the first beer and telling him he would not be the first one drinking,he proceeded to pour himself a rather sizeable glass of my scotch.

I remember thinking at that moment,'oh hell, this boy's not going to last the day.'

It only seemed that way because he was asleep half the time. When he was awake he was just as loud and obnoxious as last year, if not more so. Infact, someone walked up to me at one point and told me, "Someone needs to pour him a big glass of shut the f#ck up".

We only needed wait about ten to fifteen minutes though before he was dozing again.

Heh heh, he wanted to stay Friday night so he could have the first beer Saturday morning, and I beat him to it, for the second year in a row. And unlike last year, I drove up Saturday morning instead of Friday night.

Hey losers that didn't make it, you missed out big. Think about that thought process that brought you to a decision of missing the event. How much did you really save? Did you really have to work? Could you have traded shifts? Sick day? Don' tell me you don't have the brain cells to spare. Today's spoken word to the choir, start your plans now and throw the extra coins in the piggy. Think about this weekend when you have that cold in December. See Endelt at his best. Come on now, it is for a good cause! Quit thinking about yourself.

No apologies needed. I took your post the way you intended. I'd love to have attended and was actually in KC this weekend. Unfortunately, home games tend to be the time when all of our extended family gets together for the year. Just about every game, we've got a group of cousins, longtime family friends, or various other people flying in that we have to get together with because that might be the only time we see them for the year.

Whoa, hold up everyone. Let's not get too carried away here. Let's keep in mind that posts like the one CH posted are not posted with the intent to be a dick, but rather to try and motivate people to come out and support a charity (as well as have one hell of a time in the process). It is a little charity that is quite important to many of us (rather we have to a banquet or party or not), and those who have attended these events just want everyone else to enjoy the truly amazing time that we have in supporting this program. CH and his wife have been coming to these events for what, the past three years now? And I can tell you they are great people (even if they are Husker fans :p) and enjoyable to be around. He just wants you to share in the fun and laughs.

On the flip side however, not everyone is in a position where they can make these events. It is not like everyone is making some poor excuse, some are very legitimate. I, for example, had no damn business attending this year. I am out out of work, practiacally out of money, and have very few brain cells to spare ;). As I said, I should NOT have gone this year. Now I have proven that you can ignore all excuses and find a way, but I have also proven that it can be extremely foolish to do so. I do not expect anyone, let alone everyone, to be as big a fool as I am.

So let's both sides attempt to understand where the other is coming from, and not let this thread spiral into some hateful black eye on the discussion of this good cause.

Alright. Skip had me make this for him. I sent it back to him to post but what do you know, he tries to tell me Web TV won't let him post pictures. Wow. I had no idea that Web TV prevented you from FOCKING TYPING IN A URL AND SURROUNDING IT WITH IMAGE TAGS!

*ahem* So anyway ...

Not true. I'd bet it's already been saved on several hard drives. :)

Good thing I wasn't there, otherwise it'd be a pic of me. Plus, everything around me would have been broken or knocked over, and the carpet sure wouldn't look like it was freshly vacuumned.

So who is going to submit that pic to big-boys.com, it seems to fit in with their "style". Lord knows we have had enough links from here to there...

Good thing you didn't pass out face down.. Can you imagine what would have happened to you if Phil had found you like that?

One of the reasons for the success of the Chiefs Coalition charity events (total raised so far this year, $25k) is the peer pressure applied from member to member. The community members tell the other community members that this is a cool thing and you need to get your butt to one of theses functions.

Nothing wrong with that. Just show some restraint about some who didn't show up. Myself and the Mrs. made it to all the festivities but I missed most of Saturday because of a son making the playoffs. Things come up you can't control. But if you can in any way swing the time and money.........You will find it was money well spent.

Today's spoken word to the choir, start your plans now and throw the extra coins in the piggy. Think about this weekend when you have that cold in December. See Endelt at his best. Come on now, it is for a good cause! 37 forever ------ Husker's Dogs

I will come to this event, is ENDelt going to pass out and pee himself?

Passing out at some point is a sure thing; he'd probably pee on himself if you asked him to though...especially if you offered him a beer to do it.

I think that can be arranged.
