Not officially, it hasn't. But like Delaney's 37, nobody has worn it since.

I'm not a really big fan of retiring numbers. Maybe in certain instances, but eventually you're going to run out of numbers. ;)

The Chiefs' policy on retiring numbers has been pretty inconsistent IMO. Bill Maas wore 63 (Lanier's #) but it hasn't been worn since Maas left. And J.T. Smith and I believe Emile Harry wore Buchanon's #86, but no one has worn it lately. Like someone said, nobody has worn Delaney's #37 or DT's #58, so I guess those guys' numbers are unofficially retired. With the NFL now allowing WR's to wear numbers in the teens, they should probably retire Otis Taylor's #89 as well. I don't think anyone has worn Montana's #19 or Marcus Allen's #32 since they left, either.

I say we start a movement to get D.T's and Delaneys Officially Retired

What would be the point? I'd rather see them in use on the field. It helps me remember good players.

Besides, the Chiefs do whatever they do when the Chiefs want to do them. There's nothing any one of us can say to make them do something like that any quicker than they'd like. I'm sort of an expert on this.

For me the Point would be respect... We should Respect those Players with the honor they deserve.

Just My Opinion
