thank god
Quarterback Trent Green worked out with the Chiefs' starters on Friday and will start Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders, coach Dick Vermeil said.
On Thursday, Vermeil had raised the possibility that Green would not start because he had missed so much practice time while in St. Louis for services for his father.

Green has made 71 straight starts for the Chiefs, a team record for quarterbacks, since coming over from St. Louis in a trade in 2001

and an update on priest looks like he wont start:
Priest Holmes, RB KC

News: KCChiefs.com reports head coach Dick Vermeil confirmed that Priest Holmes (head) isn't expected to play in Week 9. The veteran missed practice Friday and was still "on his way back" from California, where he visited a specialist.

Analysis: Larry Johnson will start in Holmes' absence. Owners with the veteran hope his condition isn't serious and won't keep him off the field for an extended period.

I would be interested to see how Collins would do starting a game...but not with our season on the line.

Too bad....I was rather looking forward to seeing what Todd Collins could do in a meaningful game.

DV should've benched him to send a message to the team.

We let Green get away with this, pretty soon he'll be going TO on us.
