The Chiefs' top three corners are banged up, but head coach Dick Vermeil believes that Patrick Surtain (knee), Dexter McCleon (groin), and Eric Warfield (hip pointer) will all play on Sunday against the Bills. Surtain and McCleon did not play in week nine in which Warfield suffered his injury.

THE NEWS
The Kansas City Star is reporting that Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil is not optimistic that offensive tackle Willie Roaf will be available for week 10's visit to Buffalo. Roaf missed his fourth game of the season with a hamstring injury last Sunday.

The availability of Priest Holmes will be up in the air again in week 10 as Chiefs starting running back seeks a third opinion on the mild head trauma that has kept him off the field since week eight. "Personally, I think Priest will be back, but I'm not the doctor giving that opinion," head coach Dick Vermeil told the Kansas City Star on Monday. "He's going to a different doctor for an exam. He flies today, he's there tomorrow and then he's back. The doctors want to be very thorough of the situation. What I believe is going to happen is that they will say he's free to play."

This is bugging the crap out of me. If the Roafster has an actual tear in his hammy, I would think that would require surgery to correct. Wouldn't this equate to a Vermiel statement along the lines of Roaf being out for several weeks?

Please, please, please let McCleon's injury prevent him from playing. Otherwise the Bills are going to look like the Colts. :cuss:

I'm guessing whatever Priest is experiencing really isn't a "minor head trauma" if he's flying all over the country seeing various specialists.

Either that or he is a hypochondriac

Yeah, Warfield looks so much better playing 10 yards off the ball and allowing 4 straight 3rd-down conversions...
