View Full Version : Making heart attack in a pan...

Fried Meat Ball!

So I know it's not very manly, but I'm making lasagne tonight (the wife really wanted it). When I make lasagne (only about once a year), it's a damn heart attack waiting to happen. But if you die while eating it, you'll die happy.

Tonight... I'm going all out. About two pounds of cheese (six cheeses in all), two pounds of meat (three meats), two different sauces for a very nice blend.... I can't wait.

Is it your wife's birthday this weekend?

Being four months pregnant, I have been pretty jealous of the drinking thread. However, you have just taken the cake with this one. OMG, I would kill for some of that lasagna.

I just realized I was wrong... it's three pounds of cheese (I forgot the ricotta).

No, it's not her birthday, but it's a special weekend. No reason, really, but that with my job (sports editor) I'm busy ALL the time, and it just so happens that aside from one thing tomorow morning I have tonight and all weekend off... an added bonus is that it happens to be her one weekend a month she doesn't have to work. So... this will be the first weekend we've spent together in about three months.

What's un-manly about being a good cook?

Now, if you said you were gonna do the dishes. . . .

I did 3 racks of ribs yesterday and some pulled pork. This is after 3 racks of ribs Wednesday. My ribs are pretty popular these days.

Is "pulled pork" some kind of euphamism, Phil? That's just sick, man... sick.
