KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Chiefs fan took a beating from a Raiders fan last weekend at Arrowhead Stadium -- and she is still feeling the pain five days later.

Beth Springate and some friends left Sunday's game early, thinking the Chiefs were going to lose. They came out to the parking lot for more tailgating, but the mood inside and out of the stadium suddenly changed after the Chiefs scored in the game's final play.

Springate said within moments of the Chiefs winning, she was getting pummeled by a woman in a Raiders jersey.

"I said something to the effect of, 'Well, I guess we gotcha this time,'" Springate told KMBC's Peggy Breit.

She said she thought the banter was just rivalry talk -- she didn't expect it to turn violent.

"The next thing I remember was being on the ground getting my face beaten. I remember turning over toward the ground so I wouldn't get beaten in the face anymore."

Springate said she passed out and doesn't remember if anyone came to her rescue. When she finally came to, she asked for help and security officers took pictures of her swollen face.

"A concussion, my front tooth is chipped, I had a bloody nose ... I still have quite a bit of pain," Springate said.

She said she thinks there should be more security at Arrowhead.

"I don't want this to happen to anyone else," Springate said. "You should be able to go in there and expect that you're not gonna get bludgeoned in the parking lot."

Breit reported that there are 15 security officers who patrol the parking lot during games. A Chiefs representative said it's doubtful that more officers could have prevented the fight, and that Arrowhead has fewer problems than many other stadiums.

Springate said she hopes they catch the woman who beat her.

What a day. Miss the best Chiefs moment of the year AND get your ass beat. That's gotta hurt. Should we start a pool on how long before she tries to sue the Chiefs?

She should sue the Raiders, after all it was their operative right?

Both fans should have had a little more class.

I'm throwing the BS flag.

She waits for almost an entire week after this alleged incident to contact the news, HEAVILY hinting that if Arrowhead had more security this never would've happened.

I suspect she's going to try to get some $ from Carl.

It's a good thing she didn't say anything to MOhillbilly.

I can't tell you the number of times I stood outside the stadium talking shit after a raiders/donks/chargers game.

Every time some saint (or 14) was there to keep me from getting my face pounded in. Somehow I can't help but feel Arrowhead let 'er down...

Yep. I said a lot more than she did to Raiders fans on the way out of the stadium, but somehow didn't get beaten half to death. Maybe it had something to do with the 70,000+ other Chiefs fans I was walking with.

My guess is she slipped on some nacho cheese and all her "friends" took turns stepping on her head.

Im gonna go out on a thread and say that if they were leaving THAT game early, they weren't drinking beer, rather Charonnay or Merlot.

Obviously I am a Bronco fan. I had a incident where a chief fan threw a beer in my face (unprovoked) in the bathroom. He was so drunk he could hardly stand. The chiefs fans in the bathroom took care of him for me. They threw him out of the bathroom on his ass fast. Some fans for all teams take things a little far.

Any time you put 78,000 people in one place, you're bound to get a fair number of A-holes. Mix in alcohol, and the odds are that much higher.

Like someone else said, the stupid bitch deserved to get her face pounded for leaving that game early.

That's not a reason not to leave early. it IS a reason to sign up for a self defense class.

That reminds me if us going home from the game and we were at Mcdonalds on the interstate and my brother was sitting down and a Raiders fan walked by and he started chanting "Raiders, Raiders". As we were leaving, sure enough there she was with her husband driving off giving us the bird. That was hilarious.
