If I have a pic on my computer, how do I size it so that I can use it as an avatar, and then how do I make it an avatar?
I know this sounds really elementary, but I'mnot all that smart when it comes to this stuff. Thanks in advance.

Here's the idiot-proof method...
1) Open your picture in Paint.
2) Press CTRL-A ("select all")
3) Press CTRL-W ("Stretch/skew")
4) Keep messing with the Stretch numbers until you're down below 200 pixels by 200 pixels (if you're making it smaller, put in numbers below 100%).
5) When you've got it down below 200 X 200, save as a jpeg.

6) Go to "My Profile" on the Planet.
7) Click on "Avatar," scroll down to "Upload an avatar from your computer."
8) Click browse, and find the saved jpeg.
9) Click submit modifications

That should do it.

Alternately, you can just post it here I'll resize it for you.
