Noticed several things.

1. They blitz. Alot. We better be ready to pick it up or throw a bunch of quick passes, otherwise it will be a long day for Green.

2. Their run D is bad, but perhaps not as bad as advertised. They've done a decent job against the run in the 1st quarter. The Falcons and Jets gashed them pretty bad early, but the rest of their opponents have to had to be patient. Please don't abandon the run, Al Squanders.

3. Kelly Holcomb doesn't throw deep. With Losman running the offense, Buffalo would take the occasional shot downfield. Usually it didn't work, but that's besides the point. Holcomb almost always throws the ball short. Even when he has time to look downfield. I'd like to see LESS blitzing from Gunther this week in an effort to pick off some short passes. Flood the short zones.

4. They have an EXCELLENT return game. I hope the special teams busted their ass this week, because they've been shitty this year on kickoff coverage. We don't need Buffalo starting at midfield every possession. Even so, I wont be shocked if Buffalo runs back a kickoff for a score this week.

I'll never forget that 1st game of the season in 2002 when Kelly Holcomb had a career game against us.....

I remember the last time we played them.

LAST MEETING: Oct. 26, 2003; Chiefs, 38-5. At Kansas City, Mo., Holmes scored three TDs and the Chiefs defense forced seven turnovers.

They might be a little pissed.

I've watched a few of their games this year too and those are all things I've noticed, specifically that they're in love with blitzing. It comes from all over too; DBs and linebackers.

I'll take

The Chiefs are just 1-8 all-time against Buffalo at Ralph Wilson Stadium with that lone win coming by a 20-17 count (9/28/86)

for $200, Bob. :)

You know, it's funny. I think we have a VERY good chance at winning this game tomorrow. I think it completely hinges on 2 things:

1. The O-line stepping up and playing like the professionals that they are to protect Green in passing situations.

2. The D just being consistant in shutting down the pass. I feel that they have done a very consistant job of shutting down the run already.

I don't think the weather will matter much since both the teams play in these conditions.

Was it an Eric Clapton song? There is song playing at the end of Happy Gilmore that could be Eric Clapton: Wonderful Tonight or it could be a Lynard Skynard song can't remember, it's been a while since I've seen it.

Weather doesn't look as wet as I thought. Of course, if that 30% chance comes through, it's still 100% rain.
----------------------------------
Sunday... Mostly cloudy windy and mild with a 30 percent chance of an afternoon shower. Highs in the lower to mid 60s. South winds 10 to 20 mph...Becoming southwest and increasing to 20 to 30 mph during the afternoon.

Wind is supposed to be 25 mph with gusts up to 40. Seems like ball control, grind it out weather to me.

I had to sit Green in fantasy this week, though my other option won't have an easier assignment (Brunell vs. Tampa Bay)

Ah, hell, I was close:

They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-haaa!
Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees
And begged you not to leave
Because I'd go berserk?
Well. . .

You left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone
Completely out of my mind
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I had said
That losing you would make me flip my lid
Right. . .

You know you laughed, I heard you laugh
You laughed, you laughed and laughed
And then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
And twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

I cooked your food
I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind, unselfish loving deeds?!!
Hah. . .

Well you just wait
They'll find you yet
And when they do they'll
Put you in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

The ralph is like a wind tunnel..

So I've heard.

It looks like S-SW winds would be across the field, rather than in one team's face. Might make the kicking game interesting.
