I'm wanting to replace my existing PIII-1000 with an Athlon system for as little money as possible.
I have a video card (ATI AIW 9800), HDD, sound, etc.
All I really need is case and PSU, mobo, proc, and memory. I'd prefer a mobo without onboard video and sound.

Check out this page. I buy all my parts from them and they have great customer service.

Damn, I can't build a PC for this price.
I checked Aberdeen and NewEgg.
The cost of the Asus mobo, Athlon64 3200 proc, and 1GB of memory is more expensive than a full system from CyberPower, Dell, and HP...

The Athlon 64 bare bones system is only $600 dollars. Are you telling me you can get that cheaper at DELL???????

Asus A8V mobo, Athlon64 proc, and 1GB of 400Mhz memory at Aberdeen -- $415
CyberPower pre-built system with same mobo, same proc, same exact memory, plus case and 40GB HD -- $478

Oops, I should have made the 1GB of memory, for comparison's sake. I also found out I get an employee discount.
Decked out HP Pavilion, same specs as the Aberdeen and CyberPower, only with all the crappy software and a DVD drive -- $414 with my EPP...

I always pimp cyberpowerinc... they're cheap as hell and seem to know what they are doing.
