Was it on TV? What kind of OT do they have in the CFL?

They must travel well to get invited to that game.

Was it on TV? Yeppers. I've been watching it on MSG, and it was on various other sports channels, too.

What kind of OT do they have in the CFL?One that actually gives both teams a chance rather than relying entirely upon the luck of a coin toss...

Each team gets the ball in the same end of the field at the 35; like college football, but ten yards further back. They traded TDs in the "first" OT, then Edmonton kicked a FG with their second possession. On Montreal's first play, the QB threw it, it was batted down, the QB caught it, then threw it again. That cost them ten yards on a penalty that took them out of FG range, and the defense stepped up on the following two downs (there are only 3 downs in Canadian football) to win the game.

As someone said...I think Bob Dole...the NFL has the worst Overtime in professional sports. :banghead:

I'm quite drunk right now...celebrating the win (as I was born in Edmonton)...and the game was here in Vancouver...had the buds over for mucho good ole Canadian beer rather than that American pisswater. A Chiefs win and an Eskimo championship...what a Sunday!

On Montreal's first play, the QB threw it, it was batted down, the QB caught it, then threw it again.

And that wasn't even the best part! In the most hilarious football display since Brian Waters recovered a fumble and tried to throw it against the Browns, on the last play of the game, as he was being ran out of bounds, the Montreal QB drop kicked the ball in some LSD induced effort to somehow extend the game.

I think there's actually some sort of thing where you can recover your own punt and get the ball back in the CFL, but I'm not sure.

I wish you wouldn't have told me that, it shatters my idea that the CFL still acts in primitive ways. I like to think they use a barter system for player trades.

"We're very interested in making an offer for Ricky Ray."

"Well, he was the Grey Cup MVP, so at the very least we're looking at 15 bison, exclusive usage of Alanis Morissette songs during our games, and 17 American dollars."
