Okay - what is the best NY Eve party in KC?

I've heard the Hyatt is lame and mostly old, boring rich people show up.

Union Station appears to be geared towards families.

The Uptown looks like fun but $100 a ticket is a tad steep.

So Planet Peeps - where's the place to be?

I was wondering the same thing. I'll be in town for the Bengals game.

I haven't been out in years, and even then it was over to a friend's house.

Now a days, I just stay home, watch some football, have fondue for dinner, have sex with The Mrs. by 10:29, and then all asleep by about 10:30.

Prior to offering advice on this topic we'll need to see pictures. Thanks.

Sounds like the Mrs. needs to come to my party then.

One possible solution would be to hop a plane and go to one of those Pacific Islands that is the first place to experience the new year. It would be cool to lie on a beach under the stars and clink umbrella drinks to ring in the new year.

That's a good idea Kevin - If I ever win the lottery I will ring in the New Year with a h00ker in Amsterdam, then with another in NY, and then another in L.A..

There is no good place -- that's why I'm in Balt. for the Inner Harbor fireworks & a co-worker of mine w/b in NYC for the ball drop.

Speaking of planes, my New Year's Eve fantasy when I was a boy was to fly around the world at the Earth's rotational speed in order to celebrate 24 times.

I didn't get out much.

The Hyatt's not that bad ... if you want to have a few drinks and get smashed.

I have a cousin who was a firefighter that responded to that call. He says that to this very day, that was the most horrific call he's ever been on. People were crushed, their bodies literally exploded. People having their legs amputated on the spot, etc.

Which flood? When you were a kid or the more recent floods of 93 and 95?
