View Full Version : Should da-Bears change their logo?

so I'm thinking today and the Bears are pretty much the only team that their logo has nothing to do with their team name. The Browns, not much you can do with that, but the Bears should change their helmets to a cute cuddly teddy bear or a mean grizzly....

thoughts???

edit: upon further review neither does the Packers or Giants

No. I can't think of one uniform change in the last 10 years that has been for the better.

The Jets uniforms are a nice change. Remember they used to have those all green jerseys after their throwback they wear now? The Bucs uniforms are better and so are the Rams as well as the Eagles.

There are certainly some nasty ones out there though such as the Bengals and Seahawks. As a fellow designer, I don't understand how those make it past "tough" football types. On the other hand perhaps some "classy" uni's were presented and the style(less) owners wanted something FLASHY!

I don't think I can ever win you over endelt, I could say you are the coolest dude in town and that's still gonna be your default response to any comment I make. So with that being said....go F* yourself

I think the best uni's in the game are the Cowboy's home threads.

Having said that the Bears shouldn't touch the logo they have. I think its great.

Hey, there's a glimmer of brain activity for a change. I was beginning to wonder if you had post-its strategically placed around your house to remind you to eat and shit.

Denver now plays in their PJs.

Those uniforms were entirely appropriate.

I was under the impression that the "C" stood for Chicago. You know, kinda like "G", "SF", "NY"...

I'm personally waiting for more NFL teams to go the traditional route with new uniforms. MLB, as f*cked up as they are, did it after the horrors of the '70s and '80's.

I must have f*cked your mom in a past life, other than that I can't think of a reason why you hate me so much :p :p

On the other hand perhaps some "classy" uni's were presented and the style(less) owners wanted something FLASHY!I actually like both the Bengals and Seahawks uniforms. Well, to be truthful, I've not paid much attention to the Bengals uniforms, but I do like their helmet design, it's very fitting. Of all the new uniforms out there, I think the Seahawks uniforms are the best change. The worst change is the Patriots (I'm one of those who likes the old logo). I look at the Pats' logo and think, "Damn, are these guys football players or mail carriers?" Typically, though, I think the Browns and the Broncos have always had the ugliest uniforms (though the new Broncos unis are a bit of an improvement, but they sorely need a new color scheme).

I love old school looking uniforms. Chicago, Green Bay, KC, Dallas, Pittsburgh. They may not be the "prettiest" but anyone that wants pretty uniforms should be crushed by a huge Milwaukee's Best Light can.

How does a "C" that stands for Chicago, a "G" in a circle that stands for Green Bay or an "NY" that stands for New York have any less to do with the team name/location than a "KC?"

I like the Seahawks home uni's. I think I like the old Eagles helmets were better.

The Panthers and Titans have the ugliest uni's in the league imo. How teel or light blue is a football color I'll never know.

There's only one uniform more hideous than that and the color schemes have a lot in commom.

I think Chicago should stick with what they have. I like more traditional uniforms. When they wore the orange jerseys a couple of weeks ago I thought it looked hideous.

Bears... cool, classic.
Tampa... old unis are cool in the same way the powder blues are cool in SD. They are so obnoxious looking they actually look good from time to time.
Denver... old unis sucked, new unis suck.
Bengals, I hate their new look.
Browns, their unis ar cool because they haven't changed much.

The Bears unis are great. The guy on the old Bucs' helmet looked like a pansy. The Browns have ugly colors and a stupid name. I know a woman in Cleveland who said back when the team moved to Baltimore, "We've got the stupidest name and the ugliest colors, and that's what they want to save?!?" I can say I disagree with her.
