Simple question, with probably a complex answer.

Poll coming.

I make my trust decisions based on appearances. For example, if the first time I see a guy he's stealing an old lady's handbag... I'll lend him no more than $50. He really can't be trusted beyond that.

How much do I get if I give it back to her?

If you apologize I think she'll give you a candy bar.

I used to be quite trusting, but after 15 years in business for myself working with other business owners I've lost quite a bit.

Seriously... I tend to trust people until they prove they are not worthy of it.

Why would I give you this information about myself? What are you Big Brother?
I'll tell you what, you stay on your side of the fence and I'll stay on mine.

... and you better not be building a shed...

A guy bought a dog house from me a couple of days ago and was 20 short, I let him take the dog house home because he sais he would come back the next day with the 20.

I don't trust institutions.
I don't trust human nature, I think it is generally bad.
I don't trust people the first time I meet them, especially if they are overly friendly.
I don't trust people who don't seem responsible with any thing important.

I don't have problems trusting people who have demonstrated reliability and who will be fair to you even when they are advancing their own agenda.

I'm pretty darn trusting, at least, until I have reason not too be.

I try and stay totally neutral in terms of trust and respect to someone I've just met. They have to earn both IMO.

I now trust that after I've passed a cop at a speed trap, there will be another speed trap just up the road.

I dont know anyone more trusting than myself..I owe it all to this little book I came across years ago. Send me $3.99 and I'll rush it right out to you...hell, I'll even pay for the postage. Remember, you can trust Old Codger.
