Injury report

After watching defensive tackle Ryan Sims practice for a second straight day, coach Dick Vermeil said Sims would play against the Broncos.

“We may not play him 35 or 40 snaps, but I think he will be available to play,” Vermeil said.

Defensive end Carlos Hall began practice but was forced to quit because of his sore hamstring and Vermeil called Hall doubtful for Sunday’s game.

The Chiefs added Jeremy Parquet to their injury report. Parquet, Jerome Woods, Ronnie Cruz and Boomer Grigsby did not practice for the Chiefs.

It would be nice if Carlos Hall could stay healthy. The guy has been a terror for the occasional snaps that he's played.

How the hell does Parquet end up on the list? Has he been active for a game all year?

I'm hoping that will change in time the way it did for Dunn.

Damn, I would have loved to have Hall play as he tends to be the only other real playmaker on the DL other then Allen. Heck, I hate to say, well hate may be too strong of a word, but it would be nice if Hicks could have the injuries and let Hall play.

Hopefully Sims can step it up and look like the Monster that we drafted.

I have no idea what to expect from this game, none what so ever.

If the DE's are going to read, react and contain because of the bootlegs and cut back runs, then Hall sitting out won't mean much. He's a speed rusher who gets after the QB. It'll be better to have a containment guy like Hicks.

not really ... since hicks is so slow that Plummer can just run out and around hicks.

and i can't tell that Hicks is significantly better at stopping the run than hall either.

Eric Hicks is a leader and a warrior. A great locker room presence. Nobody, and I mean nobody handles being 0-4 better than him.

Haven't you paid attention to DV/GRBOB/Gunther the last 5 years?

That is my thought as well, plus the fact that Hicks always seems to miss the fact that they are going to roll out towards his side. His only hope is that he doesn't get blocked.

If Cruz is out, who is backing up TRich? Are we really only go to dress LJ, Brown and TRich in the backfield?

prolly ... especially since we run LJ in so many single back sets.

I'd like to see Jimmy Wilkerson get a number of snaps at Hicks spot.

He is more disciplined than Hicks.

Against the bootleg, he might be a difference maker at that end.

Wiegmann is the biggest loss. He will alter the run offense even if he plays hurt.

Most of the puzzys on our injury list should not have made the team in the first place!! Only one I like is Knight. Boomer hasn't done much. He is the crazy invisible, getting blocked, white boy, not running down the field and making a hit. Step it up farm boy.

Browning-I hear the name, but never heard him speak a word. Talk about shy-has he ever done an interview?

Simms-tub of lard and waste of a good pick and millions of dollars. If he ever comes close to putting up more than 50 tackles a season, I will be shocked. Trade him, LJ, Woods, Warfield, for as many picks in the next two draft as they can get. Fire King Carl, and get someone in that won't kill us in the draft.

it's happening...

Allen,Hall and wilkerson are usually the DE's on passing down or when the other team isn't running the ball much.

Hick is mainly a run stuffer DE

Boomer is rookie, playing on a STs unit that isn't very good, or possibly poorly coached.

Who gives a rat's ass if he never does an interview.
He's solid, albeit, nothing special.
He provides nice depth.

Who the hell is Simms?

Sims, however, looked like he was starting to play like the player we drafted.
At this point in time, I'm not ready to give up on him.

As for the trade, are you Michael Irvin's best buddy?

LJ is on his way to being one of the top 3-4 RBs in this league.
Warfield is a solid #2 corner.
Woods wouldn't get us a NFLE bust in trade.

And as for Carl, he ain't going anywhere.

Now, put down the crack pipe, and back away from the computer.

Yeah, I know Wilkerson is on the field on passing downs.

I want to see him a LDE on first and second downs against the Donkey's.
