DOWN

THE FREAKING

FIELD

Denver's defense is too good for us to come out conservative. We need to soften them up with Tony G down the seam and then hit them with the Johnson.

I hope Al comes out throwing the play action pass 3 or 4 times on our first drive at minimum.

I agree. This "handoff to LJ on 1st down for 2 yards, incomplete bubble screen, and Trent Green sack" shit has to stop.

Challenge them. The worst that can happen is we are forced to punt on 4th and 10.

Kris Wilson will be HUGE today.

So that's what he does on the bench? Eats a lot? Is he pals with Whitlock?

I think the Chiefs have to establish that they won't
eshew the run to be successful in the passing game.

However, a play action pass on the first play of the game might meet with some success.

Denver is the best D in the league against TEs. If we come out flinging it to Wilson and Gonzo, expect to be disappointed.

Their weakness is on the corners. If we're going to pass, use playaction and pass DEEP to Kennison (who always has huge games against dungver) and Parker.

Then let LJ run over their ass.

They got chewed up a bit by a TE last week...

Play action and LJ up the middle all day long. Denver's D is too fast to drop back pass and/or run the sweep plays.

I agree. But I think we should throw quick high percentage passes. Just something enough to keep them from keying on the run. As the game goes on the deeper routes and the draw plays will have a better chance of opening up for big plays.

Those who suggest a Kris Wilson sighting might be on to something. This might be a good situation in which to use a two tight-end receiver set. It might give us a little more flexibility against a very good run defense.

it all depends if we can pass protect.

Quick high percentage passes will work. They'll expect us to run. The five to seven yard pass will serve the same purpose as a run and hopefully back them off from keying on the run.

Attack!!! That is what this offense has been known for the last few years, this year we have been too soft, attack attack and don't give in!

We need to come out and throw an 80 yard bomb to Marvin Harrison.

I'll settle for an 80 yard bomb to the guy that was drafted right before Marvin...

I'd like to see a flea flicker on the first play.

Didnt' LJ run for 150+ and 2 TD's against Dungver at Arrowhead last year??

Denver's D is improved this year. Their D line is MUCH better.

Given gochiefs current history regarding his prophetic pre-game threads, I hope this means LJ will have a big day.

ROFL

But seriously........

Seriously, this is a game that Eddie or Samie, or both have to come up big.

Anything that The Secret Weapon provides would be just gravy.

If Trent comes out accurate like last week, Bob Dole would agree. If he comes out like he typically does (off-target), then we're going to be in trouble if the script calls for pass pass pass.

Bob Dole hates that damned script crap.

Gretz just mentioned Green has a 114.8 rating in December at Arrowhead.

That is just nuts. As cold as it gets? Green RULES!
