Top AFC backs:

LT
Edge
Mike Anderson
McGahee
Rudi Johnson
Lamont Jordon
Dominick Davis

Is he in the top 3 of those guys on the list, or will he by the time the nominations roll around?

I think he makes it, especially if he plays his last 4 games the way he played in November.

he definately is the best one of them considering only the last 5 games

he's #6 in the NFL in rushing yards and I believe 4th in rushing TDs, which is AMAZING for only starting 5 games (is that right??). If he doesn't make it it call BS

LT and Edge are locks.

A productive December and yeah. He could hit 1500 yds. It would be hard to keep him out then.

I haven't seen Alexander but I'd take him over any of the others. LT and LJ is a tie right now.

I could easily see him being 3rd. I still believe as I said in my thread that he might reach 1500 yards rushing, he does that and he should be a contenda! Wouldn't hurt if he could get up to around 15 TDs

I'd rather have Boss Bailey.

I don't see how he doesn't make it, considering he's not only statistically within the top 3 in the AFC, but the other backs outside of Tomlinson or James don't have far and away higher name recognition or reputation.

3rd in the AFC in rushing, 3rd in TDs.

I would like to see him get his Props but he might run madder next season if he doesn't.

How sweet would it be to have LJ make it over McGahee? Two backs in the same round, one a gimp and taken higher than the other. The other just came back and kicked the other guy's ass with almost half the starting opportunities

Not only that, the Bills can suck my ass. Is there no other team more overrated every year than the Buffalo Bills?

He certainly deserves it as much as any of those guys.

John Riggins on NFL sirius radio was talking today and they brought up the same subject. They were saying LJ is the #5 back in the league and accending.Because he hasnt played many games he very well could be in the top 3 by the end of December.

Here was their top 5

1.LT
2.Alexander
3.James
4.Barber
5.LJ

I've been saying he CAN make it since he got his first start.

He sure hasn't made me look a fool as of yet.

Just imagine how many yards he would've had if he had been starting and taking the bulk of the carries since week 1?

Sick numbers.

From NFL.com on the AFC rushers.

1 Edgerrin James IND 1347 yards on 304 carries, 4.4 YPC with 12 TD's.
2 LaDainian Tomlinson SD 1172 yards on 261 carries, 4.5 YPC with 17 TD's.
3 Larry Johnson KC 1108 yards on 221 carries, 5.0 YPC with 11 TD's.
4 Rudi Johnson CIN 1066 yards on 255 carries, 4.2 YPC with 9 TD's.

Edge has everyone beat with the total rushing yards, however it took him 300+ carries. Tomlinson has 17 TD's, the most. However, LJ has the best YPC of the group. Pretty damned good. If LJ doesn't make it to the pro-bowl, despite the fact that he only started 5 games, yet he racks up that many yardage, it'd be a f**king crime.
