I know that we'll have the usual doom and gloom posts for a few days, but I just thought I'd run today's events through cdcox's program (www.nfl-forecast.com):

Prior to today's games, we had around a 47% chance of making the playoffs. Now, it's more like 42.5%. All things considered, that's not as big of a loss as you would think. (Thank Miami for knocking off SD for us.)

Anyway, this loss hurts, but most of us said that we'd split the road games. Here's hopin we can pull it off next week.

With SD going to Indy, KC and hosting Denver, Pittsburgh becomes the concern.

We have to hope they take a loss down the line.

No, we're not done. That's next week's episode.

We had to win one of these roads games AND win against SD and Cincy. Didn't sound like overwhelming odds, until now.

If we can't beat Dallas on the road, we don't stand a chance against the Giants. Burress will put over 200 yds on this _efense...

Nope, there's three more weeks and then the off season.

If Indy doesn't play their backups, SD should be done. Pittsburgh plays Min, Cle, and Det. We just lost the easiest game on our schedule. Very unlikely we make it now.

If anyone thinks we can beat anotyher AFC playoff team on the road, they need to be medicated.
