windowsXP service pack 2 has a security feature that limits the the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts to your computer. It suppose to help prevent mass worm movements and Dos attacks.

it also can really hurt your P2P performance(Kazaa,Torrents etc) because they use multiple mass connections.


sometimes it also can cause crashes because of the mass connection attempts.


here's a patch that allows you to increase your possible number of connections.
