They're utilizing a Coryell variant very close to ours, complete with all the pre-snap shifts...

Not many college teams use it, do they?

I'd have thought it would be too complicated. Very few teams in college seem to be able to effectively run a WCO, and ours is just as complicated.

Question. I understand that some people in here perfer a clean slate. However, say if Saunders is hired as a HC for the Chiefs, do you think Shea would most likely get the OC position, considering they both know the Air Coryell offense?

Something to think about I suppose.

Terry Shea was a Bill Walsh/West coast offense guy before he came to KC. Walsh was the one who recommended him to Vermiel.

Just goes to show you how loose the connections are.

And goes to show that there's no reason our offense can't continue without Al Saunders...

Funny. There just happened to be a piece on that game on NJ TV here. That's the last bowl game of any kind for Rutgers until tonight, and it's being romanticized as though they lost that game by virtue of a bad offsides call on an onside kick.

Maybe it was close for awhile, but a 16 point final margin? :hmmm:

I trust that Al will fugg things up before Walter comes into his own. If AW becomes the starter before his contract is up/he is traded, I'll start questioning my faith in a higher power. And when that happens, ENDelt falls of the wagon.

Do you sense that the tide has shifted south in football yet? Kinda sucks to be bitchslapped by the best JUCO player in the nation. It doubly sucks when that player spent the last 2 years at Scottsdale CC and living 5 minutes from Sun Devil Stadium.

No, K-State doesn't have much room to talk in the non-con scheduling department, but we don't lose to teams with a valley AND a state included in their name.

I've heard that "tide has shifted to the south"/"UA is on the rise" for almost five years now. I'm not buying it until I see results. It may very well be true, but win more than 3 games against D I-A opponents in a season and then we'll talk.

Looks like I left out your outright one in 2003 too.

Not quite the difference you'd expect between a football school and a basketball school. Then again, K-State isn't a Miami/Michigan/OhioState type football school, so it's not fair really.

That's not to say it's not a tremendous disappointment that we've never been to a Rose Bowl even given our elite level at times during the 90s.
