Chiefs vs. Kitty Kats: Chiefs at home for 19 straight in Dec.

Pitt vs. Sissy Kats: Kats help us out here, cause that is what spoilers are for.

Donkeys vs. Sandy Eggo: Sorry boys & girls, but the west coast dinks are gonna win this one & spoil it for us. The donks are resting starters, and believe me, they want to eliminate the Chiefs BADLY!!! It is their only motivation for them to play, I dont care what they tell the media.

I maintain a rock solid faith. Separately, Carl Peterson, Mike Shanahan, and Matt Millen are weak and can easily be broken. (Illustration of person breaking a single stick.) But when you put them together, they become stronger collectively than individually, and they will form a power that cannot be overcome. (Illustration of person unable to break a sheaf of sticks tied together.) Three victories in Week 17 will lead us to the playoffs.

Denver - 13 San Diego - 23 Denver will rest a lot of guys.

Pittsburgh - 34 Detroit - 10 No way in hell Cowher lets them lose this one.

Chiefs - 27 Bengals - 40 Chiefs will know they have nothing to play for and like the typical DV team, they'll lie down. Also, it won't be December anymore.

If the games weren't at the same time, I would suggest flying our offense to Pittsburgh and dressing in the Lions' uniforms. If their game was the late game, we could probably get our offense on the field for a full half.

Unfortunately, rather than a bundle of sticks, we are looking at a chain that is only as strong as its weakest link.

A bundle of chains? A bundle of chains that are stronger in combination?

On a Trent Green interception in the red zone returned for the game deciding touchdown. LJ misses the block that would have saved Trent from getting his arm hit and Gonzo was open in the end zone.

Chiefs win. Bengals worry about getting hurt, play 2nd stringers.

Detriot can't win on road in bad weather against Pitt that needs win to get in.

SD wins at home Denver's same boat not wanting anyone hurt, resting starters.

Can't depend on others.

The media and arrowhead finger pointing continues
about Dallas, Buffalo, Gants, Iggles games.

DV calls it a career. HC search begins. Remain coaches are nervous.

Players are on edge who stays/goes.

Starters to play significant minutes <HR style="COLOR: #ff0000" SIZE=1>http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_3348707 (http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_3348707)

Starters pleased to get work in
By Bill Williamson
Denver Post Staff Writer

Broncos starters don't feel like flying to San Diego this weekend just to lose.

As much as rest is appreciated, many starters said they are pleased coach Mike Shanahan plans to play the first team for a significant part of Saturday's game against the Chargers, despite Denver being locked in at the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs.

"You don't want to look bad," quarterback Jake Plummer said. "We would love to have 13 wins. Anytime you can do that, it's a big accomplishment.

"We are going to try to win the game. Nobody likes to lose, especially headed into the playoffs. We will approach everything the same way we have since Week 1 as far as preparing and getting ready and hopefully come out with a 'W."'

Added safety John Lynch: "I love to play football. I want to play."

Shanahan said Plummer has to be prepared to play the whole game. Shanahan said injured starting linebacker Al Wilson (broken thumb), defensive end Courtney Brown (knee, shoulder) and running back Mike Anderson (ankle) will not play but all are expected to be healthy for the divisional playoffs either Jan. 14 or 15. Linebacker Keith Burns, defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban and running back Tatum Bell will step into starting roles.

Shanahan said he will be forced to play many starters because of the lack of depth created by injury on a 45-man game-day roster.

"I am not sure how anybody treats a regular-season game like an exhibition game," he said. "The big difference is that when you play your last preseason game, there are 65 players on your team. You have a chance to play your second unit."

San Diego coach Marty Schottenheimer has said his starters will play.

Just so I understand correctly, KC needs 3 things to happen, correct? KC wins, Denver loss, Pitt loss and they advance, right?

I don't see any way that Detroit beats the Steelers in any stadium, with perfect weather conditions... and with Maddox at QB. There's just no way it will happen.

Big Ben and company and that Steeler defense will destroy the Lions by 17.
