Bonanza

Anyopne hear that Michael Landon on Johnny Carson years ago?

Landon says, "yeah I have heard for years that the family must have been gay, 4 guys out there with no girlfriends all those years. But no, no we weren't...thank God Hop Sing was though..."

Friggin hilarious!

Seriously... people thought the Tangerine Bowl would select KU instead of Colorado, since CU was going downhill and KU was playing so well. Even though Fort Worth was a much better destination for Kansas fans (and for recruiting) than Orlando, Clemson would have been a much better game... and it would have been nice to go back and win in Orlando this time...

My hatred of DirecTV has nearly reached Bronco levels. The day Comcast is able to get all NFL games, I'll blast that dish off my house with a shotgun.

True freshman RB DeAngelo Williams is gifted, and he racked up 129 yards on 12 carries with a touchdown against Murray State. He's got vision, some great moves, and he's really fluid. It'll be fun to watch him grow as a player. He should provide some friendly competition for preseason Doak Walker candidate Dante Brown at the starting spot.

Speaking of freshmen, Mizzou quarterback Brad Smith made a big impact immediately against Illinois. He racked up 268 total yards en route to a 33-20 upset for the Tigers over the Illini at the TWA -- err, Edward Jones -- Dome in St. Louis. While he only completed 12-of-22 passes for 133 yards, he took the helm and led them over a pretty strongly favored opponent, giving Mizzou fans some dearly-needed hope. How time flies.
