When did DirecTV start doing that? It's been a few years since I had the ticket, but they didn't do it back then.

They just started doing it last year, any games that are shown on the local market are blacked out on DirecTV

Rest easy, they announced a few months ago they will be dropping that policy starting next year. Basically they did it because they wanted to protect the local markets and affliliates.

From what? DTV showed the same commercials as the local channels did. There was no difference in the broadcasts.

DirecTV is dropping the blackout policy, or CBS is dropping their moronic practice of switching games in the middle of a ****ing broadcast?

Bob Dole wasn't home, so got shafted out of the ending to another disappointing KC season.

Do you have a link? I was considering not renewing my NFL package, but if they drop the blackout policy I might be buying again.

Its like, trying to have a law in place to protect whip and buggy makers from General motors making their business obsolete.

Do you mean to tell me I watched the ****in dolphins game while I could have watched the rest of the Chiefs game. What a frustrating day. We lost power due to high winds 30 minutes before the start of the game. Power came on when it was 3-0 about 8 minutes into the first qtr. Then it went back off 5 minutes before half and came back on half way through the 3rd qtr. When our electricity came back on and I had finally calmed down enough to settle into the game they switched the ****ing broadcast. Worst day of my life ,almost. And now I find out I could have finished the game on 710. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
