Both finished the season with 3 tackles according to the espn chiefs site. Could this be right? And Boomer had 0. I know on special teams Boomer and Scanlon were something else but I know Scanlon had to have more than 3. :hmmm:

Those stats are definitely not correct. Scanlon was one of our best special teams guys this year.

I know, and Boomer made as many tackles on ST also, so I"m a thinkin they are not including ST play in those stats. Did Boomer ever get on the field during regular play?

I'm thinking Boomer in for a couple plays.

I was hoping to see him yesterday in 4Q, of course when CBS HQ switched the game....

the real question about scanlon is, did he make more tackles than penalties?

Well he was wrong. Scanlon has 26 tackles and Stills has 19 tackles.

Where are you getting your stats?

Are special teams tackles even an official statistic?

Boomer played in the goal line defense. He was the guy whose job was to fly up over the pile and try to collide with any running backs doing the same thing from the other direction.

This is mere speculation, but I'd say there's a darn good possiblity he led the team in special teams penalties, too. Seems like the only times I ever heard his name called was for holding or a block in the back.

You forget he also was with Christ on Calvary and riding a horse at Ghettysburg. The man is a saint.

Scanlon is a good backup and ST he will stay for sure and he is making less money than Stills who is almost at 1 million.
