Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs general manager Carl Peterson has indicated that his most recent contract extension would be his last and added that he hopes he does not have to hire another coach. Peterson re-signed with the team last year for a four-year extension, which begins in February. "I've been here a long time and love it," said Peterson. "I've got the best ownership in the National Football League. But I would like to think this next head football coach is going to be here longer than (me)."

so do they get paid for a reserve/future contract??? or do they have to make the team?

I'd like so see Carl work on a few of our upper-tier FAs - though they will probably be dependant upon a HC signing.

yes but first things first every year you have to sign players for the TC or NFL Europe.

Most of those guys are guys that are familiar with our offense, we must be looking to keep that intact. If it isn't broke...

he can't ... all of these guys were street free agents.


none of the other player, that are with teams now, become FA's until march 1st.

He can be working to get them under contract though before they become FAs. Is it too late to use any remaining 2005 cap $ for bonuses?

Peterson is promising to finally leave. Sure, it's 4 more years of hell, but damnit there *IS* light at the end of the tunnel and it might not be a train!

I heard one of those players are off the MTV show MADE, i wanna be a pro football player, i can't wait for the episode!!! Must be one of those future/signed contracts!
