They're completely different players. If Bush is used like Marshall Faulk was used in his heyday with the Rams, he'll be a dominant force in the league. He's not a 25-30 carry guy like White could be. White is an Eddie George type. He runs very hard, tough to tackle, but doesn't have the speed to be a game breaker.

Bush will be an NFL great much like Maurice Clarrett

Not Clarett. Maybe a cross between a Desmond Howard/Peter Warrick and Rocket Ismail. Nothing more than a special team phenom.

LenDale looks more promising as a NFL runner.

Always looking for the good in people really wants me to agree with you, but, while maybe not Clarett, but a serious Ron Dayne issue with Bush. He has over hyped flame out stamped on his forehead.

bush will be a marshell faulk like player. He has a burst like no one has ever had. I will trust my nfl sources over any ass pony's here.

Ron dayne couldn't catch the ball like bush can. It's realistic to see bush as a LT like ball carrier.

For everyone that thought Bush got shut down tonight, here are some stats.

He had 13 carries, 82 yards, one TD, and 6.3 yards per carry. He also had six receptions for 95 yards. That is 177 yards of offense. White had 20 carries, 124 yards, three TDs, and 6.2 yards per carry. On a lot of White's carries up the middle he had big holes. If Bush would have been given those carries he would have had big yards considering his acceleration and ability to make people miss at the second level.

The only question I have about Bush is whether or not he can handle a full load as an NFL running back. Bush got overshadowed by VY tonight, but it wasn't because Bush didn't perform. It was because VY had an amazing game.

I'd be happy to have either one, but there is no way Bush won't be higher rated by all the scouts and pro personnel people..

I really do like White's size though..

It depends where each ends up. They're both elite backs though. I guess it matters what style you prefer.

Bush is going to be nasty. He doesn't seem very big which might be a problem in the pros. If he puts on some more mass, without losing his speed he'll be like LT.

Personally, I think White looks more like an NFL back.

Of course, I said the same thing about Ronnie Brown last year, and look how Cadillac turned out...

Neither one of those guys suck. I suspect the same for Bush/White.

CAN Bush run between the tackles?

If so....why didn't he get any of those carries last night?

Is he an amazing athlete with some superman burst? Yes.

I don't think I'd compare White to Johnson though, because while they may be similar in size and both run with power, I don't think White has the speed to be a big play back. I do think he could be a mauler and is far more likely to be a 25 carry back than Bush.

It depends on what type of system they are in, but I saw Bush drop to the ground with hardly any contact after getting hit hard a couple of times.

My vote goes for White, as the best overall RB.

On that same note, I don't see why Leinart would even be taken in the top 6. He didn't appear to be any better than any of the 1st round QB's that are struggling in the NFL now.

He looked like the next Jason White.

Nice factual report there, bb...uhh...but ya forgot one leeetle bitty thing...and that would be Bush's boneheaded toss-away! As if USC doesn't have the ability to score a TD inside the red zone! After committing that blunder, Bush was shown sitting on the bench with his head down (this just in: Mr. Heisman is now known as Mr. Dopey Mopey). ESPN's commentators later said that Bush wasn't the same player.

Bush, but White will be very good, and not a situational type player.

Certainly not. I didn't say they sucked.

I just remember saying Brown would be the better pro over Cadillac. I was obviously wrong, at least so far. :D

I think it depends on how much weight Bush can add to his frame. NFL trainers will find a way to add bulk, it's just a question of how much before it sacrifices speed.

Bush has the potential to be an amazing NFL back, but I think he could also be relegated to a Brian Westbrook type role.

I don't think Lendale White will ever be a spectacular back. He may be a great workhorse for some team, but not a game-breaker.

In other words...I don't know who'll be better.

Reggie Bush = Dante Hall nothing More.

White looks good, but as someone else said he does not have LJ type speed, Of coarse nobody as big as LJ does.

That's absolutely absurd.

Bush is 100000 times the RB prospect Hall ever was. Bush has the speed, and a hell of a lot more power, vision, balance, explosion etc etc.

Not sure why people wonder if he can carry the load a 6 foot 200 he is as big as Tomlison coming out of college much bigger than Barry Sanders and Marshal Faulk out of college IIRC.

You also forgot that Bush had over 100 special team yards putting him at over 275 total yards for the game.

Like I said in my first post, NFL trainers will get him bulked up. He's certainly got the potential to be a great back.

Bush needs to bulk up which will cost him some of his speed. OTOH White appeared to be NFL ready.
