Norv Turner would be a good selection, and if we stay in house and promote, Solari would prbably be a good choice.

Jason Verdusco would be my dark horse here.

I also think that Terry Shea gets serious consideration.

Unlike many here, I don't think Terry Shea would be a bad choice. I'd also be good with Norv Turner and Mike Martz (as long as SOMEBODY kept him in check that we have the best O-line in the NFL and workhorse, big, fast, bruising running back). Maybe Herm's conservative side and Martz's over-aggressiveness would equal cancel each other out and we'd be balanced most of the time.

As in invisibly dark? No way that one happens. Still too inexperienced.

Man I hate CARL PETERSON!

Why doesnt he just became the OC, he can ruin the offense like he ruins everything else.

Norv Turner has let the game pass him by the last couple of years. He's been a terrible offensive coordinator for the Raiders. When commentators even come out and say a scheme is elementary that's pretty bad.

You don't promote or hire anyone.

Let Green make the calls on the field. Doesn't Brady do much of that?

...Me ,too, at first.

Well, I think that they should look seriously at Gaz, but if not Gaz then I think probably Norv Turner as well. Martz, too, would fit the bill.

What I would hope for is--Pull a Redskins and pay A.S. wayyy too much $$$$$ to leave, and get his ass off the job market.

Carl is probably so giddy and excited about bringing another good ole' boy to KC he's forgetting to write in Herm's contract that he CANNOT touch the offense, similar to Dungy's in Indy.

So a lot of people are pimping Solari as OC, but who fills in for him at oline coach if he gets promoted? Any thoughts on that?

I'd been seeing a little of it going on in a few threads, so I thought I'd make a thread devoted to just that. Oh well. Can't please everyone.

That, and I don't know much about people in that position. Instead of hopping from thread to thread to thread to read up, I thought it would be nice to gather some views and opinions in one place.
