that's a difficult place to win regardless of who's the coach.
But I like our chances more than I did with DV.

Wow. They're in completely different leagues now that you mention it. Herm's got a better personality though, so that's got to count for something. But he strikes me more of a charismatic rah-rah guy, and less of an X's and O's guy. I think the real question with regards to how good your club will be will revolve around who your OC is.

I don't really see it that way. Herm comes off as a complete asshole at his press conferences. At least Shanahan is courteous. I can't ever recall him going off on a reporter.

Maybe someday, but not with this team.
This same group of guys has been losing at the INCESTCO for too many times. When is the last time Chiefs won in Denver?

Who cares???? If the Chiefs can just win the games they "should" win, I.E. Buffalo and Philly last year, then it wont matter one damn bit.

Gun never lost to Shanny as a head coach. One of those weird but true stats.

We could probably go 5-1 in the division but I can't see a win at Denver.

Unless, of course, the Denver I am referring to is not the same 13-win team as last year.

yup....that's how i felt last year....(and this year for that matter)

i pretty much always chalk our game in arrowhead as a loss.....

we just aren't going to win there anytime soon....that's just the way it is...

i knew that last year so i just hoped we beat the teams we were supposed to beat and we did...

end result = 13-3.....

that's my hopes again this season....

My prediction,

KC romps in their home opener against maybe Carson-less Cincy and Denver struggles against a talented yet underrated Rams team in St. Louis.

Smack talk will rain down from the Planet about how this is the year and Denver is the inferior team, while failing to realize that it is damn near impossible to win on the road in the AFC west, much less against a playoff caliber team and even lesser against a team playing ITS home opener.

Win that game and this will be a special year.

This poll sucks.

The question "Can Herm win?" is too absolute. Yes Herm can win at Invesco, ****ing everyone CAN do it, with the right combination of luck, skill, and team. The question should be "Will Herm win?"

Also, the options suck too. Every answer includes a qualifier that a person might not agree with. For example "No, he's too much like Vermeil."
So your answer is that if he doesn't win he's like Vermeil? That's god damned stupid. Who the **** wants to make that their answer? I'll tell you who; nobody. If you're going to do it like that there ought to be at least half a dozen "No" answers.

It's not just about the coach.

It's about the way this team has come to lean so heavily on our home field advantage. We don't just suck at Denver, we suck everywhere on the road.

Until we start playing at (or near) the same level on the road that we do at home, we won't be any threat in the post-season. Maybe part of that is a mindset that the coach can change, but I fear that it has become imbedded in the heads of some of our players.

That 27-0 beating he took last year is very convincing.
