I heard something and I believe I'm repeating it right... the Steelers are undefeated in the playoffs over the last dozen games when they rush for over 100 yards as a team. I think that is what they said on ESPN Radio... they should have that by halftime.

Parker looks like a guy who could challenge for the rushing title next year.

Good speed, nice toughness for a smaller back, pretty good at finding the holes to make a big play.

Why do you say that? The hit on Palmer was caused by the defender being blocked into Palmers backside. The defender was simply trying to reach out and grab Palmer. Blame the blocker for hitting him and sending him low.

From one of the bigger Bengals boards on the web.
Refs in general suck. Odell was purposely tripped and hit Ben in the thigh and he received a flag. Van faghofen intentionally hit Carson in the knee and nothing. I'm freaking pissed!!!!
The Steelers know that Palmer can own their secondary, so I guess they wanted to make sure they didn't have to worry about him?

I sure look at the Steelers differently now. They're trying to end a young man's career.
Steelers are a bunch of cheapshot motherfu*kers...I guarantee you that one of their missions was to take Palmer out if they could.

Good job Von Olehoffen, you fat piece of sh*t..
Refs tend to be horrible and bias against Cincy is NOT rare, but I am amzed that nothing was called.

Even worse, how the scumbags on TV are not calling the hit what it was is beyond unbelievable.
This is such BS.
Somebody on the defense needs to take matters into their own hands, regardless of whether it results in a penalty or not.
I agree, someone needs to take Ben out at the knees. I'll even pitch in $1000 to help with the fine.
i say wwe do the same godamned thing to big jen!
The Steeler fags are still doing their late hit, stand over people like thugs and the refs are letting them get away with it. They have purposely hurt our QB, are trying to injure our receivers, and the refs think it's ok.
Squeelers a bunch of cheap shot artists.
Have you guys seen the replay of the hit on Catrson?
How on earth can they say this was clean, the OLineman from Cincy didNOT take him into Carson, he was standing up, VonOelCheat dives at Palmer's knees. This is 100% intentional.
Pissburgh mother****ers... I'll pay the fine for anyone can knock Big Jen out of the game.

All you heard about Shanhan was how he was getting all over Kennison the year he quit the team, and he comes here and is putting up some solid numbers. I wasn't disprespecting KC's ground game... Denver was #2 overall rushing in the NFL during the regular season (behind Atlanta) with 158.7 yards rushing per game... KC was #4 with 148.9

Denver had the 3rd most rushing TDs with 25 behind Seattle and KC.

Stats wise ... sure, from a yardage perspective they gave up a lot of passing yards, but for a long stretch Denver was getting up by 2-3 TDs and teams were forced to start passing and abandoning the run by halftime or the early 3rd.

That tends to throw the numbers off as well.

You do have a better chance against the Bengals, though, than you do the Pats. You will NOT beat the Pats twice in one season, even though both games were at home.

That is the scary thing about the Pats, they have this uncanny knack at winning games... They are just solid all around... If it happened it will be one hell of a game.. Hopefully the Pats drop 50+pts on the donks...

Valiant
01-08-2006, 03:33 PM
Stats wise ... sure, from a yardage perspective they gave up a lot of passing yards, but for a long stretch Denver was getting up by 2-3 TDs and teams were forced to start passing and abandoning the run by halftime or the early 3rd.

That tends to throw the numbers off as well.

Except to good teams... You fail to remember how many times your defense collapses in games... Washington, Philly, Dallas, KC and even Baltimore dropped tons of yards and were in the game winning or down by less then ten after the half...

I haven't forgotten any of those games and I haven't said that Denver's defense or secondary is the best in the league.

The defense sat on big leads vs NE, Philly and WAS and watched them vanish and they damn near lost them. They did lose a nice lead to the Giants.

Bottom line is they gave up a lot of yards, but they didn't give up a lot of points. Denver's defense ranked 4th overall in points allowed with only 16.1 per game... that's pretty good, despite ranking 15th overall in yards allowed.

I don't care about yards... I care about points.
