Didn't Herm deny he was leaving the Jets, as well?

We should keep Gunther, no doubt. Well, nevermind hes not using the players right. I want someone who knows how to use what we got.

First you deny everything.

"I am going to coach the Jets next year!"

Then when the truth comes out, You deny the denial. Then as a last ditch effort, blame the media for misquoting you in the first place.

They should have gotten the complete statment from the KC Star.

Also Sunday, Tampa Bay defensive-line coach Rod Marinelli shot down a rumor that he was headed to Kansas City to become the Chiefsí new defensive coordinator. Marinelli, who worked with Edwards at Tampa Bay in the late 1990s, said he hasnít talked with Edwards since the Chiefs negotiations began.

Once Herm signs his deal and calls Marinelli, there will be a different answer to this question.

I think that's key. He's saying he isn't coming to KC as of today, largely because he hasn't spoken to Herm.

he denied "that he was leaving to come to kc" ... he didn't deny that he would consider coming to kansas city.

he's telling the truth, it's not a done deal. Doesn't mean it might not happen.
