If you have Qwest you can use *60 to reject unwanted calls. Who are you hiding from?

Or just have your phone number listed under an assumed name and don't ever give the number out...

I don't know who makes them, but I know a few people who either have a machine or a service that requires people to identify themselves and their reason for calling. They can then scan the brief message to decide if they want to talk to a caller.

Personally, I think it is annoying. So I don't call them anymore.

I guess that proves it works . . .

Have 2 phone lines, one with no long distance. Don't plug line 2 into a phone.

Phone 1 you give the number to friends and family only. Phone 2 you put on all cookies, computer or sweepstakes or any other shit you have to fill out.

Tell any important correspondence, like insurance or bank, that if they want to correspond with you, they can send a letter or come by, tell the phones are from the devil.

That should handle it.

You can always give the Ex's number to all the spammers. Not only does the Ex get plenty of unnecessary phone calls, but the callers get plenty of :cuss: when they call up the Ex and ask for Trndobrd. Everyone loses.

That seems like a very handy device. The only thing else I could want is it to deliver a mild shock to the caller if they wait until the beep on my voice mail to hang up. Nothing like going through six messages and five of them are just hang-ups.
