IMO Saunders going to Washington is proof the management and ownership of this team is more interested in making money then winning football games.

I won't be doing any crying next year that's for damn sure.

My heart is broken.

Saunders going to Washington is proof that Daniel Synder will overpay for assistant coaches.

Bravo to him.

If you were passed over for promotion after all the hard work you put in at your company, would you pass up the opportunity at more money elsewhere?

Of course not. I mean, if it was his choice, B_A's rant would be completely worthless.

I'm sure $$$ had alot to do with it, but he didn't get a HC job from the 5 years in KC. With what he built here, if he does it somewhere else, somebody will give him a HC job. Somebody besides Oakland :D

He was already overpaid as OC in KC !!! Stop whining.

Why would Saunders come back? I don't think he would have even had Lamar matched Snyder's offer. This was just as much about pride, and the ability to get a HC job. If Saunders is successful in DC his first year that will mean a lot more to other teams than Al being successful for the 6th year in a row here. Al would have been stupid to stay.

Would you have come back if CP had treated you the way he treated Al?

If you think we can outbid Dan Snyder for anything, you're nuts.

I won't be doing any crying next year that's for damn sure. That's okay. You've done enough crying in the last month to make up for taking a year off.

i think it's more about his relationship with carl peterson than money.

He couldn't get a head coaching job. That should tell you something.

Seems to be no mention of AS in the Washington Post.

Yeah they are cheap, having the most expensive coaching crew the last few years obviously relates to "cheap"

sheesh.

And you've wasted enough of my time wading through your useless bullshit to last me a lifetime.

BTW I ain't crying. I always loved MartyBall. :)

Al has been running this offense for 5 years with pretty much the same group of players. For 4 years they have been in the top 5 I believe. There comes a time when you can only do so much & people start to figure you out. You become predictable. It's time to move on to some new pieces. Good for Al as well as good for the Chiefs

No. Only Gun would...

Go Al Saunders.

Chiefs will ride what he built until they have to build O again.

I don't know if the move is an indication of the Chiefs being cheap. I think Saunders being passed over after all the hype when he came to KC about being the one to follow DV just like Martz did in StL probably has a lot to do with it.

AS was never coming back as anything other than HC.
