By lucking into a win over the Pats, they saved the Steelers from having to go play at New England... which, unlike playing in Denver, actually would have presented a challenge for Pittsburgh. The Pats might even have won that game, and then we'd have to listen to the endless Pats, Brady, Belichick love-fest for another Super Bowl. Ugh.
So thank you, Denver Broncos, for those flukes and questionable referee calls that helped you win last week. Thank you, Jake Plummer, for waiting until it counted the most before turning back into the chump everyone knows you are. And, most of all, thanks for bending over and spreading your cheeks when the Steelers came into town.
And a special thanks for being at home for this one, since it was even better than watching you get killed at Indy again.
