Buy 'em. If you don't want to lay out that kind of jack for tickets buy 'em anyway. Then hit e-bay for your profiteering experience.

Congrats.

That is interesting. Each team, I guess, can sell 10,000 tix to loyal fans. 20,000 seats to loyal fans, the rest to corporate america and scalpers.

You've been a solid fan for quite a while, just by your posting here alone.

Congrats, it couldn't happen to a nicer non-Chiefs fan.

Don't get stabbed in Detroit.

This sounds fishy to me. Why can't you use Credit Card to pay for them. Before giving them any money I would check into the credibility of the offer.

It could be a con.

I've been to Detroit. It's not as bad (where I was) as people make it out to be. I haven't been since the new stadium ws built, but I'm sure it's in the burbs, like the other dome was. There are some cool bars downtown and in Greektown.

You should go to the game, no doubt about it. I would kill to be able to attend a Superbowl, let alone watch my favorite team play in one. This is a once in a lifetime thing, and you'll regret it if you don't go(even if you do get a big payday).

Sell them Joe! What if your team loses, then you made $3000 and don't have a long sad trip home thinking about the lost money. What if they win you say? It's best to watch the Super Bowl with your friends anyway and in your new living room (that you bought with the $3000)

Of course, I'm biased. But I'd say only really wealthy people should spend that kind of money on a game. However, if you've waited all your life.....

I would say for a pair of tickets to the Superbowl being $1240.00
is a low estimate on the price of the average ticket there.

So given that the seating capacity at Ford Field is a whopping 65,000.

So 65,000/2= 32,500x1240= $40'300'000 !

And that doesn't even include the money racked in from the way overpriced vendors and souvenirs to be sold. Not to mention the parking prices.

The NFL racks in all kinds of cash. Just think about what they get in commercials for the SB. And this is their biggest cash cow of the season.

The NFL doesn't get shit from the SuperBowl commercials. That's why their TV deals are so high.

Awesome choice, you're going to have a great time.

I don't know how much it's changed security etc but when at Superbowl XXII we went to the NFL headquarters hotel and had a decent time.Met some former players, had a few drinks etc.

FWIW,the hotel this year is NFL Headquarters: Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center (http://www.superbowl.com/features/general_info) the link will also take you to a full info site.

Enjoy, takes lots of pics and post them here.
