Nothing celebrates America's culture better than Groundhog day. Pretty soon, federal workers will have made this a paid day off.

I celebrated a new holiday... well for me anyway... today.

My manager is Mexican. In Mexico they don't get their presents from Santa Claus on Christmas. They get 'em from the three kings on Epiphany/Dia de los Reyes (the day of the kings). One of the traditions is the Rosca de Reyes... this bread with little baby Jesuses baked inside. Whoever gets a piece with Jesus in it, is supposed to provide tamales for Candelmas on Feb 2. So, my manager brought a rosca to work on Jan 6, and I got a baby Jesus. So, my wonderful new girlfriend made a bunch of tamales for me to take to work to share with my coworkers today.

I kinda forgot all about the groundhog.

Wow. That kicks Groundhog's Day's ass. I want a bread with a little baby Jesus inside. My wife can make tamales. I don't like tamales, though. How about enchilada's?

Agreed. The idea a freakin ground hog could cast a shadow on winter length is a marketing genious in PA

"Rise and shine, campers, and don't forget your booties 'cause it's cooooold out there today."

"It's cold out there every day. What is this, Miami Beach? "
